Spurs have never won the le after winning 60 games. In fact, in my mind, our two most disappointing exits were the 60 win years: once vs. Houston back in the mid 90s, and last year against LA.

Sean got it wrong, and I quoted him on it. He said it was last year that they won 60, but it was '03. So, SA is 50/50 when winning 60 games.

part of me is mad that we lost due to this technicality (when have you seen a ref make a decision like that?? teams like memphis have gotten screwed over something like this so many times, how ironic that they finally decide to see the err of their ways TONIGHT when its against us)

but it was the right call, no matter what
plus, we did not deserve to win this game at all after letting mike miller hit a wide open 3, then A LAYUP(!!!!!!!)

You see what I mean? Miller was the go to man...they did NOT EXPERIEMENT...they used common sense and went with their hot hand.
The Spurs on the other hand...EXPERIMENTED!

THAT is great news. Throw in some horrible calls by the ref, and some just plain luck by the Grizz, and I can handle this loss (even though it ruins my "Spurs will SWEEP next 3 games" prediction).

It doesn't matter, but the way they lost does.
It sets the current foundation on how well/bad the team's doing.
In this case, they can't seem to seal the obvious wins when they should win

So the explanation is the refs have the discretion to decide if a mistake was made starting the clock which means the Spurs basically got totally ed by the refs in the 0.4 Laker game.

but if the suns win tonight, the kings/jazz game outcome won't matter. nuggets have to win out and kings have to loose out in order kings to move to 7th.

Won't matter if both lose. Kings are one game ahead of Nuggets and own tiebreaker.

You're supposed to run the clock down and make the play in the last 5 seconds so the opposing team doesn't have a chance to make a play. Horry was open therefore the ball went to him. WATCH THE GAME WITH A BRAIN NEXT TIME.
