It wasn't an onside goal, Cardozo was offside.
i see no one cares about paraguay being robbed a perfectly onside goal and not getting a redo on their penalty that had 4 spaniards rush in. and i lost any respect i had for pique, its one thing to drag an opponent down by the arm, another to dive right afterwards to confuse the ref.
whats funny about spain is that they insist on playing torres and xabi alonso when they have better options on the bench. I still dont get why people say they play so beautifully. they are extremely cautious with the ball and struggle to get shots on goal (granted, they have played some of the better defensive teams overall).

I don't understand all of the Spanish hate here? When have they won anything important to merit hate? You hate the Brazil's, Italy's, and the Germany's cause they always win = Lakers of international soccer.
Spanish players are divers, I agree, and I understand the hate.
Second SF Spain will play in our history, can't wait!
Actually, since the offsides rule is for a player that was in the play or has an effect on the play then it was definitely onside as he was in the play. The ball missed his head by 5 inches for God's sakes. That rule is in so a guy on the far side of the pitch who isn't even in the tv screen won't get called for offsides.
And rofl about Pique. Everybody tries to fool the ref. It was a stupid foul and he was penalized, but Iker saved his bacon.
There were a lot of ref mistakes on both sides. That Paraguyan should have had a redo on the penalty and the makeup call was called on Xabi Alonso for a weak ass ticky tac call. Then Fabregas should have gotten a PK when hmthe keeper took him out after he had gotten control of the ball on the touch. A lot of stuff both ways.
Torres better not play anymore, I'm sick of giving away a half with him bogging everything down. We need Fabregas starting with Xavi and Iniesta and Villa up.
Piqué with a stupid ass foul but a solid game otherwise.
I love Puyol. Gonna miss him when he retires cause he's all grit and makes smart plays. If he was more athletically gifted he'd be the best defender in the world or at least among the top few.
Torres is in a bit of a slump but, ya cant pull'em now! People are waiting for him to break out of it & I think he will.
His slump is kinda like what Messi is in.
Are you kidding? The last 2 games it wasn't a coincidence that the offense sucked, spacing was bad, nothing was crisp then he gets subbed and everything improves and we score. He's just not right at the moment, and although you can get away with giving up the 1sr half to Paraguay and were fortunate to do it with Portugal, but can't do that with the Germans.
First actually...
Well it doesnt matter, you & I can say whatever we want, the coaches will never bench'em!! He might not play all 90 but, he'll start!
Then that will be Del Bosque's down fall. For our sake I hope Torres d
gets his game together if he does play.
No we were in the semi final in 1950 I believe.
