That ball was not caught outside the 10. He caught it at the 5, ran around like a dumbass for 15 seconds and then got thrown down at the 6. That is not smart football.
You're right about it being caught at the five.

It's also not smart football to let the punt hit the ground with the clock running because the clock was running. What if the punt does not go in the end zone (as it did earlier in the game)? At least Bryant has the ability to run one back (like he did earlier in the game or the season).

When they give Jared Allen a free run at Romo because someone didn't know the snap count on third and one, I have a really hard time blaming the game on a rookie trying to make a miracle play with 20 seconds left.

Bruce Gradkowski smoked the Texans. Smoking the Texans means nothing. I could probably go in there and throw for 300+ against that defense.

That's true. Dez is not even close to Kevin Dyson. Kevin Dyson had a long, somewhat successful NFL career. Dez has yet to do anything to help his team win games. At this point Dez is more like Freddie Mitc .
You have no idea what Dez Bryant will do in the future - you really don't. He already has two long touchdowns this year and two to three other long plays called back by penalty - Freddie Mitc was a non-factor his entire career and that comparison was only an attempt to be glib (sorry - you failed there). Maybe you were an Oilers fan so you come up with a guy like Dyson - an average Oilers/ ans player to compare Bryant to.

Bryant essentially had no training camp as a rookie player and is still getting into the mix. With good health over a period of years, Bryant will do very well. Your hatred of the Cowboys probably clouds your judgement. Andre Johnson has been dealing with the same injury Bryant is dealing with right now (high ankle sprain) - his effectiveness was reduced for several weeks.

You spend a lot of time in Cowboys and Spurs threads and are always pumping up those Houston teams that really aren't that great and throwing insults at the Spurs and Cowboys.

Just remember, at the end of the day, the only reason any Houston team (besides the early 60s AFL Oilers team) won a le was because Michael Jordan was told to "go away" for awhile by Stern because of his gambling issues. At least my teams actually have experienced ultimate success at some point along the way.

A currently rudderless Cowboys team kicked the Texan's butt a few weeks ago and here you are popping off about a team you don't even like. How good are the Texans right now when it can beat a Dallas team (at home) that can't get out of its own way? That Texans team has a lot of issues (bad defense, nagging injuries to its best player Johnson, season ending injury to Ryans - historically its best defensive player) that will probably prevent it from winning anything significant this year. At least acknowledge that reality.

Regardless he has to be smart enough to put his team in the best position possible. 35 seconds left at the 20 to get in field goal range is a much smarter option than 15 seconds and the ball at the 6.
Just wanted to point something out to you, since you apparently like to correct me. There were 29 seconds on the clock when the Vikings punted. YOU DO realize that the clock runs when the ball gets punted, don't you?
It is impossible to have 35 seconds on the clock with the ball at the 20 in that situation.

Letting the ball hit the ground could have resulted in the ball going out of the end zone, sure. However, there was no guarantee that the ball goes into the end zone. A funny bounce of the ball could have put the ball inside the five with Minnesota players around the ball watching the clock tick down. Bryant has demonstrated the ability to break long kick returns this year and a number of times in college. He tried to just make a play in a bad situation and it did not work out.

Exactly, I have more of a problem with him missing that catch that him obviously trying to make something happen at the end of the game.

You must be new here because I am not a fan of the Rockets. I've been a Spurs fan my entire life.

    I agree. the Rockets.

4-2 is better than 1-4. I don't care if they did lose to the Cowboys. That is one of only two games they have lost. Out of 6 games, they have lost 2. Just pointing that out because you seem to think that a loss to the Cowboys makes the Texans a worse team when in reality they are FOUR AND TWO while the Cowboys are ONE AND FOUR.
