Not really. They're still the only bigs we have, we just choose to play small with a couple of SF's (Diaw, Jackson) backing up the post guys and keep the actual backup bigs (Bonner, Blair) on the pine.
Jackson hasn't done anything to solidify his spot in the rotation, tbh.

There IS compe ion for the backup pg. Mills doesn't play like the pass-first point guard, so Pop usually pairs him with Ginobili, therefore allowing Mills to play the pg on defense and the SG on offense.
PG is an offensive term. The person who everybody passes the ball to to run an offensive play is, in my mind the PG. Who cares who guards the other team's point guard. That job use to go to Bowen more often than not, but nobody would have ever called him a PG. lol The fact is that when they're both on the court, Nando has run 90%+ of the plays. I'm just make an observation, and if from that observation you take it that 33 games into the season might be enough to have see consensus coalesce among the *players* that at this point it's Nando's job to loose. No big soap box here, I just think this whole "back up PG compe ion" is, *at this point* maintained more on ST than in reality.

What's really sad is the fact that Blair attempted 2 shots in the fourth quarter, and was blocked on both attempts. I hope he gets his confidence back.

I think he's seriously hurt. This version of Blair is a FARCRY from the one of 2-3 years ago tbh.

Well then, by that definition, De Colo's not the backup point guard either. When De Colo's on the court, he's also played with Ginobili (as both are bench players). Ginobili plays the role of the playmaker and is responsible for directing the Spurs' plays whilst De Colo find himself in a similar role to Patty, although he's not nearly as effective since he's not as good of a shooter as him.

Therefore, based on your definition, Ginobili's the true backup point guard and De Colo and Patty are shooting guards. The fact of the matter is that as long as Ginobili is played off the bench, he will remain the team's primary play maker and that Patty, De Colo or Neal will most likely be forced to play a spot up shooting role.

I don't think it's a matter of confidence at this point. Hes no longer an NBA caliber player and we're seeing the results.

    Good win for the Spurs.

Unfortunately for you guys, my team is playing well and our frontcourt will expose yours next Wednesday.

Kawhi Leonard is Mbah a Moute with a 3 point shot and more upside, tbh.
