Lakers just lost Gasol too for god knows how long.... sure, people will say he's been weak, but they only have Jamison/Sacre to back him up... not looking good, tbh
Gasol 5 for 9
Dwight 6 for 7
Combined 11 for 16
Kobe 11 for 26

You've been wrong bout dem Lakers since summertime tbh scruh.
True.
Playoffs, guaransheed.
Utah is decent and might have a run in them, Minny might actually play better without Love at the moment. Blazers suck. If GS gets Bogut back, that could boost them.
Fact is it's safe to assume that at best you will need 46 wins to get into the playoffs. 31-18 is what LA has to do and that's if it's only 46 wins to get in.
But there is 0 chance they miss the playoffs. It's not hyperbole to say this would do irrevocable damage to Kobe's legacy and be one of the biggest meltdowns in NBA history.
I'm still with you on that prediction but we should check back after that Miami game tbh.
But but the frontline is
Kobe is the only reason the lakers were in the game and should take more shots!!!!!
is ok Lakers fan everything should hould be fine when Blake comes back
Tbh..since the expectations died early in the season....not disappointing anymore.
Lakers D is absolute rubbish.
And they are far from a good offensive team.
Their perimeter D is extra slow and bad.
They'll squeak in, but I doubt they easily glide.
I get where you're coming from, though. You (just like me) have that gut-level fear of the Lakers after watching them pull so many rabbits out of their hats all these years when things look bleak, but realistically, this team just isn't very good. I don't get what else there is to "figure out," for this team. Their offense is one of the best in the league, so they're fine on that end, but their problems defensively aren't a systematic problem that they can "fix" with time. They simply lack the personnel to play high-level defense in Mike D'Antoni's system.
Unless the Lakers make a trade, I don't see this team getting much better.
