I think what Mookie and a few others are missing in this is that we all know kids are going to do what kids are going to do. They'll look at things they aren't supposed to look at and probably participate in things they shouldn't participate in at some time in their lives. We know because we've all been there ourselves once.

But as parents we are obligated to show our kids the correct path, not encourage poor choices.

As a parent I hope and pray that my son won't do half of the crazy things I did, and I intend to warn him against such things. That's my duty as a parent, and I think that's what makes the actions of these parents who chose to buy their son a stripper so offensive to those of us who have children of our own.

The thing is, that everyone here with kids arguing that the parents are wrong in this situation are speaking strictly from a parents point of view. Which mookie and I dont possess. You all dont "know better" just because you have kids. We are all, i assume, endowed with the capability to distinguish between right and wrong. But who's to say whats wrong to someone else is'nt right for some other family???

My main point I was trying to make at the beginning of this thread is that the photo lab clerk should hav minded his/her own business. I'm 22 years old and I look like I'm 16...... If I were to submit pcitures of myself with a stripper would I be hassled by the prying eyes of law enforcement agencies trying to distinguish my "real age" so they can possibly prosecute Me, my parents, the stripper, and the strippers manager to the full extent of the law???

Talk about a ing waste of time and tax payers dollars.

Now if this photo had been of an ubviously underaged subject with a stripper I could understand. If it was a questionable minor is an EXPLICTLY sexual act then I could understand....... But a stripper???? it was'nt even a pros ute or anything......

You want to give your insight and input on something and can't stand it when people point out the obvious.......that you know nothing on the topic being discussed(ie this subject and the tim duncan one). That doesn't mean you can't give your opinion, go ahead and do it, just don't get upset when people don't agree and be adult enough to admit that maybe.....just maybe.....you don't know as much as you think you do.

I didn't call anyone out because their views "differed from mine". I called people out because they were advocating illegal and immoral acts with children under the guise of "mind your own business". And that is utter bull .

Deal with it. The law says those photos were to be reported. And the reasons for that law are many and well-supported. That they don't meet your oh-so-wise standard of what is necessary and what is not doesn't concern me in the slightest. That you would advocate a change in those laws does concern me.

Exactly! Kids are going to do dumb . Its one thing for a bunch of teenage boys to try to get into a strip bar and another for the parents to hire one for them.

First of all the photo place is obligated by LAW to report it. It has nothing to do with minding ones business.....do you think they should risk being fined or prosecuted in some way over this?

It has nothing to do with the looks of the person. If the kid looked 30 then he/the parents might have gotten away with it because it would not have been reported. It still doesn't make it right.

Mookie, I looked 24 when I was 17. I had a fake ID and could get in whereever I wanted and do whatever I wanted to do.

However, my mom and dad didn't hook me up with the ID and would have busted my ass if they had known I had it.

That's the distinction you're missing. Who cares how old you look? This is about parents doing their duty as parents. Your arguments don't even make sense at this point.

And you are correct. Some of the crimes committed against the kids here in our area is heartbreaking and vicious. No one is arguing against that point.

That still doesn't justify what the parents did......oh, my crime is small in comparison to others....maybe they won't notice.
