Nothing beats my friend's dad ripping Ginobili for like a day straight after game 6. He said his dad actually called him to vent about it multiple times the next day.
Not like there’s anything interesting to watch on NBA TV. They should show some of the international basketball games going on.
On a serious note, everyone better get used to Game 6. We all know that ESPN and NBA TV will replay highlights of Games 6 & 7 throughout the year on National TV, even when the cHeat play. Stop covering eyes and ears as if it Game 6 never happened.
“Pop and Manu are mostly responsible for one of the biggest heartbreaking losses in NBA Finals history.” Repeat this a million times and I promise that everyone will sleep better. Add the phrase as part of the daily prayer to prepare for what’s to come. , even our own Fox Sports and Sean Ell I ot will remind us of what happened.

- Kawhi Leonard Exactly. Spoelstra imposed his will on Pop. The adjustment that Pop needed to do was to insert Boris Diaw into the starting lineup. Pop panicked and subbed in Gary Neal when Splitter committed that foul on that pump fake by Wade. Diaw did a decent job at defending Lebron for short periods of time. Had Pop made the Diaw adjustment, then Kawhi would have had to guard Wade and Green would guard Mario Chalmers. Manu could've exploited Mike Miller by attacking him with ISO's like he did in Game 5. ing senile Pop...smh.

"You never get over it" - that's been the consistent message from Spurs and other former players.
The problem with Pop is he doesn't believe in what he preaches. He doesn't believe in moving the ball on offense and trusting the pass and playing defense. He preaches it all year then abandons it in when it matters. Pop's biggest weakness has been in-game and in-series adjustments the last couple of years. Either he comes into the series with the perfect plan or he flounders when the other team changes strategies midway.
that series was an nba finals classic, memorable for all nba fans (minus spurs fans and heat haters) for years to come
We had a shot after game 4 to win it though, Game 4 did not make or break the series because they won the next one big and had the one in game 6 won pretty much. Miller starting did throw a wrench yes, but they still would have won if not for some stupid TO's missed FT or two and having Tim out of the game to get a rebound (When they didn't cover the three anyways, so small did not work), thats what it boils down to in all reality. We had a 13 pt in game 6 as well and nearly blew that with TO's, then blew it and took it back and lost, never did it appear we were trying to outscore them and they ran away from us.
I agree on the buckled Down on D thing though, that part there pissed me off they could play so great at times on D and did not stay with the same intensity.I do agree on his adjustements, thought he had that fixed this year but then he makes some silly non adjustments or adjustments so called in game 6 late and basically F's up. He has been bad at times at in game adjustments during a few series, last year against OKC being another one you can speak of. This is true.
I still can't even look forward to this coming season because game 6 still looms. Somehow it only gets more and more frustrating over time than less.

Luckiest repeat I have ever seen in the NBA, it all happened really because of Ray Allen. If it didn't fall, Spurs are champs, no OT, no game 7. The Spurs played amazing championship basketball but everyone always remembers who won, I really hope someone in the NBA beats those guys in the playoffs next season, they are so lucky to have won that on a 3. I am sure the Spurs players feel they played well enough to be champs, Miami is the luckiest team in the NBA for now.
Luck had nothing to do with it. They had one of the best NBA coaches of all time - on their side.

Game 6 will go down as a day which will live in infamy for all Spurs fans. The Spurs were sabotaged by Greg Popovich all game long, there were key moments when his subs utions didn't make sense or keeping Manu in the game far too long. Keeping Parker and Duncan on the bench way too long at the start of the 4th too.. Despite all that they were in a position to win and then Pop benches Tim, he doesn't foul when its obviously going to end up being a FT contest on our end and they have perimeter shooters.
The only hope is that the Spurs can get back to a finals and this time win one. The window is closing fast.

Pop can still make it worse by keeping Manu as the third banana for the next 2 years and thus pushing Kawhi out of SA, I worry a lot about that now that he clearly lost it.
Phil Jackson has said it and even Ray Allen said it after game 6. You don't get lucky. You create your own luck. You put yourself in a position to be lucky. Pop plays too much to not lose instead of playing to win. How else do you explain his mistakes down the stretch? That does not allow you to create your own luck.Sure there was luck involved. Welcome to reality - six years too late. This has been the Spurs reality the past few years - but only some of us have grasped this truth.
Like a Broken Heart they heal but always leave a scar..sniff...sniff.
Now I know how Denver Broncos fans must have felt last year..
This is why Pop will never go down as one of the all-time great coaches alongside guys like Phil Jackson. His career is full of far too many chokejobs when he had homecourt or the advantage in a series.
I actually thought the Heat's defense should be credited for some of those turnovers from Manu. I just can't see him giving the game away to the Heat especially playing for an NBA le, no way. It's either the Heat's defense or Ginobili needs to have his eyes examined, maybe he needs glasses. I really think it was the Heat's defense more than Manu trying to help Miami win. LOL at that pic of him in a Heat jersey.
I also thought Pop overreacted at the end of game 6 there, taking Timmy out, it was a coaching mistake at the wrong, wrong time. It ruined the flow of the game the Spurs had built and led to the eventual Ray Allen 3 off the Bosh rebound tied the game it went to OT. Pop is one of the NBA greatest coaches ever but even the best coaches can make mistakes, it just sucks it came at such a time as winning a possible NBA le up by 5 points in the closing moments of game 6. Yeah taking Timmy out at that time will haunt him as a coach, no doubt. Leaving Timmy in could have made it harder for Bosh to get that rebound that went to Ray, outcome different maybe. I was thinking wtf are you taking Timmy out of the game for with so much at stake, it was a bad coaching decision by Pop. I am sure he would leave Tim in the game if they could do it all over again. Still even if Tim had stayed in the game it's anybody's guess how that would have played out, except that Bosh would have had a harder time getting a rebound.

You are right, he plays not to lose alot instead of to win. The Spurs down the stretch of so many games I have seen just slow it down or fail to score or have some crap play drawn up and just hope to hold on! They were not playing to win as you said, moreso playing to just hold on and hope they pull it out. The lineups etc. he had out there to prevent a three did not prevent crap, instead it made sure the three was not even fully covered and rebounds were not there as well because he went small all the way. I would have had Splitter and Tim out there personally, you hit a three (Which they did) okay, but to miss and have no rebounds out there twice is a joke (They got both boards).Some of those TO's he had were just running and stumbling and handing the ball to the other team, very very unbelievable IMO if you look at some of those unforced TO's that it is even possible to lose the ball. He looked drunk out there at times just throwing the ball right ot the other team or handing it to a player it seemed. If you did not know the compe or he is and follow the NBA you would have think he was throwing the game, honestly.
Their D was good though, very good D team no doubt.
Bull , the Spurs choked and the Heat got lucky. The Spurs were the better team and should have won the series.
try again in 2015.. i dont see 2013-2014 different
