No, Manu takes the cap space, leaving us the MLE to use. Doesn't work the other way around.
If he had any decency he would have given back some of what he stole in 2012 to be allowed to play on the team in 2013.
It may be Manu paying the Spurs 10M to be allowed to throw the ball into the stands in crunch time. Makes sense.

We get it dude. You're fickle and obsessive. Please stop posting.
Clearly you've lost touch with reality since most people on this forum want him back
Manu haters can suck it
Kevin Ware says hi.
Most of the people in here are Spurs homers. They don't take criticism well. They want to hear nothing but praises. Most of the people on this forum are Popsuckers and Manu fan boys. They trash role players like Danny Green, Gary Neal, Dejuan Blair, yet they never say anything bad about Pop and Manu because "they have 4 championships therefore we need to worship them."
You poor baby!
Well this is an ironic image considering who posted it.
I'm hoping all these suicidal Manu haters will go ahead and just get it over with.
Can you back that claim up with a Bruceblitzed video, tbh?
He'd be selfish and without a conscious if he took more than 5 million.
Danny and Gary did solid jobs and helped the team get where they did, but DeJuan? To be a role player, you have to have an actual role.
Yay! Glad Manu will retire with the spurs! *happy dance*
yes!
Tbh, I can't be mad regardless of what Ginobili got money-wise. At this point in his career, the Spurs basically should have handed him a two-year deal and tell him to fill in the salary.
Obviously, Spurs fans should hope he decided to take as small a paycheck as possible so that other pieces could be added .... but since he's obviously not going to ask more than $10 million per season, I can't be mad at the number he selected.
Good one
10 million per season? Really? So if that was his preference, you'd be alright with him making more than Tim?![]()
His number is going to be south of $10 million per. Since his true market value is probably in the ~$7 million range, it'll probably be somewhere around that.
-Less than $5 million would be a steal and Manu will have been generous to give up money.
-$5-7 million per season would be fine and well deserved.
-$8-10 million would be a bit greedy on Manu's part but I'd rather pay him that than try to find a replacement.
-$10 million plus and I'd be mad.
Right on the money, timvpimp
