Carroll calls any play other than the one he called and this thread doesn't exist. Sorry but I can't call a guy that can't throw beyond 10 yds the best QB of all-time.

they pretty close tbh but I'd still give the edge to Joe... at the end he played in an era much tougher for QBs, his numbers are below TB but in Joe's era, less TDs were scored, rules protected less offense tbh but I can see both side of the argument

funny how life works. if Lynch just runs a ing yard, I doubt Brady's dinking and dunking would be enough to tie with 20 seconds left. Instead you would hear stuff like "well Brady is still 0-3 since spygate" etc...NE should really consider building a statue for Carroll.
When saying stuff like this, you've got to look at the level of compe ion in both the NFC and AFC and analyze how those teams stack up to the teams that made the Superbowl on the other side of the conference. Who says that the team that loses the Superbowl was the second best team that season? Maybe the two best teams were in the NFC? So even if the 49ers (for example) lost to the Superbowl winner from the NFC, that doesn't mean they were worse than the team that made the Superbowl in the AFC and lost.
If this is correct, then that is the point that I'm trying to make. Making more Superbowls doesn't always necessarily mean more if you only won the same amount as the player you're comparing to. You have to look at other factors such as how strong the conferences were.
If Welker catches a routine pass, Brady would already have 4.
