The entire conference is being tanked by the league in favor of Lebron. Imagine the tomato can the east would send to the finals if Lebron gets injured.
I believe the conference is weak in compe iveness. The entire conference falls when they meet LeBron in the playoffs. Other teams believe they've worked hard enough to be legitimate when they really haven't. A LeBron James team isn't difficult to beat. The one trick pony was taken down by teams such as Detroit and Boston. Gritty teams who truly with all around confident players and MAINTAINED...their confidence during the playoffs. Other teams like the Bulls, Pacers, Knicks, etc., deferred when the lights shined. Larry Bird ragged on his Pacers team and I backed him.

Nobody wants to win in the east as of right now. The passion in the east has been sucked dry. There were teams that should have beaten them but their balls shrunk. The Knicks who got eliminated by the Pacers that year when Jason Kidd went ice cold could have beaten the Heat that season. They shrunk in the playoffs.

It isn't rocket science on how to beat LeBron. The playbook hasn't at all changed for the past 5 years for him.

I'm not worried about the Spurs but as for the Magic, they've had three excellent consecutive drafts. Its difficult for various small market teams in a non attractive local to attract free agents. This justifies "some" of the tanking. Orlando is a ghost to, probably my guess, over 90% of nba fans and the league itself as well as other teams but i'll be the first to tell that Orlando specifically is building winner. The process of building after the Howard situation is going well. These three consecutive drafts have been more than successful for the Magic but of course its going to go overlooked.

But as we all know, everything will be about LeBron until its not. Then they'll clean up house and make LeBron look like Jordan after he's left the NBA. James will definitely be serviceable after his youth has left him.

Then Jalen Rose completely dismissed the rest of the Eastern Conference by saying LeBron will once again reach the NBA finals himself. lol. I doubt the
Eastern Conference has the BALLS to respond to that. They haven't for 6 years.

I want to like the Branden Dawson pick, as he's drawn some comparisons to Draymond Green, but then I remember that Doc is our "coach" and Dawson will never get any minutes to develop.
