my gf sent me these texts this morning (sorry no pics). her family originally left iran to sweden as refugees, and they moved here years ago. green card application is pending and she's scared less. one of her immigration attorneys at one point was suggesting the option of going undo ented to get in under the DREAM act rather than going through with the family green card pe ion. had she gone that route, she'd have been in line for deportation, despite having lived here for years, had no issues with the law, and being a great student (graduated ucla this past year summa laude with psychobiology, currently studying for mcat)
whether unfounded or not, there is something to be said that people are actually feared for their well being... sad

The reason for all this uprising is largely due to how the MSM constantly insisted that Donald Trump was the antichrist, that him in the WH would be an ELE for the world. They said that so often and for so long, then it happened... there he is. Now you have all these people who never thought it could happen freaking out because the sky is falling, CNN and MSNBC said so! I mean, they said it would so it will, right? Now the same MSM is pretending they are just remote viewers reporting on what they see when in reality they are the most active agent in all the uproar. They have become the supply and the demand for "news". They have their dirty little hands in on the elections themselves, and the "fake news" is largely from them. There needs to be congressional hearings to remove some rights from these "media" sources who actively participate in election fraud.

DREAM act was law, and aimed at immigrants who are out of status. Could have protected her instead of going through the family green card pe ion. It obviously had its risks and all things considered not the route she took.

from everything i've heard from trump, she's not too concerned. her family moved from iran to sweden, where she was born, and they immigrated here as swedes not persians. they came legally etc and are going through the long/formal process. should be processed within march iirc
trump policies deal with people who were illegal in the first place, on expired visas, etc
It's impossible to predict considering his "policies" don't exist outside of his rhetoric. If I was awaiting a green card and had ties to Iran, I'd be scared as since he promised a total and complete shutdown of immigration of Muslims, which transformed to "areas of the world where there is a proven history of terrorism".
And I'm sure his reaction to the next Muslim attack will be totally measured.
