I also remember that Finley was the main cause of Dallas losing that series. He sucks and glad the spurs have him shooting bricks rather than Dallas. I don't miss him shooting 6-18 in crucial games. Now Daniels and Stackhouse will prove how good they are if given a chance.

the only thing i can think of if Finley could be a liability to the Spurs is: HE IS USED TO THE DALLAS MAVERICK NO-DEFENSE PLAY and HAVE NO EXPERIENCE YET ON HOW TO PLAY IN FINALS SERIES.

Finally someone who isn't blinded by homerism. He is not the same player and you will figure it out over time. He needs alot of shots to get in a rhythm and is not a consistent shooter. You need to check up on finley's recent history.
Fin is a bench player. He'll play his role hit a shot here and there and then sit back down.

Yeah but he didn't play him much and was against the bigger small forwards that wouldn't be able to take advantage of his speed. It might work but Finley is not going to improve this team over last year. He isn't exactly energy coming off the bench like some players are.

I love it. If the Mavs still had Finley, he'd be the cagey veteran leader who makes clutch shots.
But on the Spurs, he's washed-up dog poop. Of course.
Oh well, a healthy Spurs team without Finley still can win 80% of their games. If all this crappy third-string-caliber Michael Finley can do is chew up minutes and keep Ginobili and Barry fresher, that's still a contribution.
That's all Finley usually will do with an occasional game where he gets hot. Maybe 1 out of every 5 games that happens. I agree that the spurs don't need Finley and are probably better with Finley getting limited minutes.
