In all seriousness, every Republican and anyone that's voted for them to their soulless cores. I saw pictures of those 5 victims that were first shot out front and you can see the brutality of what those bullets do to little children's bodies(one little girls leg just pulverized) yet they have the nerve to say they're protecting them from drag queens.

I openly invite any conservative American ITT to take a trip to Europe. See how life can actually be like when you're not in danger of catching bullets at every public space. How well people manage to "defend themselves" and keep their State in check without having to conceal carry every day of their lives, or own weaponry at all. How criminals have little to no access to guns themselves, when you make it hard to get for everyone.

I'm talking about the idea where America is the world's sounding board or guiding light on topics like the American economic dream, liberal democracy, voting rights, voting transparency, human rights, individual freedoms, freedom of and from religion, etc. Our time, however long it lasted and to whatever extent we were the leader on those tenets, is done. We are slowly being subsumed by christo-fascists bent on forcing illiberal regressive policies that return us to those 1950's cartoons. But they won't stop there and won't until women are wearing Christian versions of the burka and pumping out multiple children. But of course there are majorities that would never permit that, so that tells me we have a problem that won't resolve itself as the country spirals out of control.

When you view the far right’s ideology in terms of maintaining cultural dominance by any means necessary, including mass murder, with a high tolerance for casualties on its own side, including its own children, then everything makes sense — Trump, gun violence, affinity for Russia, etc.
We have a lot more in common with Afghanistan than it might be comfortable for us to admit. On one side they had totalitarian religious fanatics, and on the other side they had liberals with a disturbing tolerance for the sexualization of children (a recurring theme in certain segments of Middle Eastern society). Virulent disgust for the latter drove support for the former, especially in rural areas.

Secondly, how naive can you be to think that you'll have the opportunity to even get a hold of your gun, much less use it effectively, in a mass shooting (or even robbery) situation? Bilateral disarmament is the way to go. Though obviously, very unlikely. Less guns on both sides, the cops and the public. Cops have too many guns too. They’re all outfitted like the military. It’s too much.
Wishful thinking though. You got right wing media getting all the whities scared less of "invasions" and violence. I saw a video on Twitter this morning of video of black on white crimes. I've seen videos being retweeted incessantly of black kids beating up white kids in schools. Despite the fact that those videos disproportionately display the context that white on black crime is actually higher.
And "Invasion" has been trending on Twitter all day in anticipation of the end of le 42. And if it's not about blacks and Mexicans coming to rape and kill your family, it's the government coming to take their weapons. I've never seen so much cowardice and ignorance in my life.
This is less about civilians vs police as much as it is civilians vs government AND racial animous. That said, I wholeheartedly agree the police departments across the country have militarized themselves and turned themselves into judge, jury, and all too often, executioner.
