Not the expert here, but what would be the solution?
Obviously one answer would be limit the forum to registered users, but that cuts out people who legitimately just want to observe without registering or posting. I was a lurker for a period of time before deciding to sign up, and I also remember registering was limited for a while there.
Maybe identify areas where IPs seem...numerous or su ious and limit them (i.e. Russian bots or whatever)? But then again, you risk cutting off legitimate guests.
Yes, the answer could be as simple as "upgrade your servers" but that ain't free either.

Last night it was 99,7% non posters (inactive/bots), pretty soon it's going to be 100% if this keeps going on.
PS: I know it's not but still, this needs to be addressed if this site expects to survive... otherwise there may not be SpursTalk for much longer.

Have not paid much attention to numbers, but I'm sure actual people visiting this site are dwindling rapidly too. Expecting visitors to a site that is down more often than not is unsustainable, obviously.

Sooo…I’m in France right now and get a “you have been blocked” when I try to go to SpursTalk on my computer through WiFi.
Not sure if this is some new security mechanism, but…maybe blocking FRANCE isn’t the best idea considering our star player.
