I guess Trump's out loud (not sure he's wise to volunteer it in public) courtship of Kurds partially answers the question of how he means to control facts on the ground in Iran
Air dominance has not resulted in regime change hitherto in recorded history, whether it will be accomplished with moar US troops in theater remains to be seen

Apparently we already have troops on the ground with the Kurds just across the border in Iraq

it will be interesting to see how numerous Trump's insurgent Kurds really are and what they do when they get there, if they do get there
The widely mentioned "weeks, not months" duration of the operation does not necessarily suggest sustained support will continue to flow as in wartime to the insurgent forces
