it was alright, not great. Germany was clearly superior throughout the whole game, the only reason Costa Rica got 2 goals is because of Germany's crappy defence. I mean come on! Germany had 21 shots to Costa Rica's 4. Nice goals though Frings' last goal was awesome! Germany is going to have to improve that D if they plan to take on teams the likes of Brasil, England, France, Argentina, Italy.
the offside trap was horrible. There were some missed calls on the offside but you only have to pay attention to Wanchope and that is all.

I don't think Klinsman is willing to give in to his decision to start Lehman. Lehman didn't really get a chance to show how good he is goal. He got very few shots at him. The two that snuck by were due to horrible defense. Metzelder is one of the best defenders in the world. I'm surprised he let Wanchope let two slip by.

I don't disagree about the defense being weak, and I don't think I would make the change, either; but I wonder about the pressure on Klinsmann to make that change.
For example, it was interesting to see the television production crew go to flashes of Kahn at several points late in a game in which Lehman conceded two goals.
I know it and the world knows it. It's that simple.
