They root for the team's underdogs...
Just some details :
- Spurs will give cash too (I don't know how much but the max allowed is $3M)
- The pick we get is the Hornets 2009 second round pick (Toronto get him by trading Aaron Williams)
They root for the team's underdogs...
Not just them, apparently.

Not me. He looks like an oversized Mr Tumnus the fawn from Chronicles of Narnia.
And he isn't Sho.
That 2nd rounder ain't bad, as throw-ins go. It'll likely be at least in the top half of that round. Not much, but the Spurs haven't had a 2nd that high in years (barring the Sanikidze acquisition).
Wheeew.... you're still alive. Anyone heard from Rashofan yet???
Basically. Now he's not going to turn into a triple double machine, but one day Spurs fans will look at this trade as one of the best in team history.
As long as Pop gives him a shot, he's going to be a vital piece to the puzzle. The Spurs needed a player like him.
If he were available in free agency, I would have wanted him over Reggie Evans.

If he averages 10 and 5 here in 20-something minutes per game, that's enough. I don't expect much more out of him.
Well, this is a little crazy. But he'll do some good things for the Spurs, at least.
Let's face it. Rasho was soft and never quite fit with the offense. It's an even trade.

OMFG OMFG
is this a joke???? This week just keeps getting better and better!!!!
What's crazy to say it will be the best trade in team history? For cap purposes, it very may well be.![]()
No more sign Reggie Evans message ?
The good news too is that he will be a restricted free agent at the end of the year. If he play well, we will be able to match offers.
Angel, I'm sorry.
This is a good move for Rasho. I'm sure he'll miss fans like you, but he really needs to be part of a club where his talents can be utilized. He's excited right now, which I haven't seen in a long time.
Take care.
I'm with LJ on this one, lots of upside to Bonner.
I also wouldn't be so quick to trade Williams, that 5 million dollar expiring contract could be an attractive piece of trade bait at a later date.
I'll have to think about it but as of right now, I just know that Bonner >> Evans for what the Spurs needed. Yeah Bonner isn't the world's best rebounder, but I want to see what he can do at power forward instead of small forward.
When it was suggested to Buford that Bonner could guard guys like Dirk, Odom, Diaw Buford laughed and said he hadn't seen those tapes, that Bonner wasn't nearly as athletic as Horry. Bonner is not the ideal pairing for small ball with Duncan. That player isn't on the Spurs roster.
By the way, the Spurs have 24 hours to ship one of these guys back out in a trade, or they're stuck with him until December.
Bonner isn't nearly athletic enough to guard those guys. But he's better than putting a small player on them.
surely what he means is he will sign nazr then trade him for ben wallace or something
I'd take Bonner on Dirk way before I take Michael Finley on Dirk again.
reallyWhen it was suggested to Buford that Bonner could guard guys like Dirk, Odom, Diaw Buford laughed and said he hadn't seen those tapes,
on 760 he said he was an athletic forward that you could play with guys like Diaw or Nowtizki.
Nope. That was what the host said and keeps insisting. Buford said no way.
Bonner is pretty athletic for his size, but those guys would take him off the dribble pretty easily, IMO.
