I hope its just a minor injury.. maybe 2 weeks, because the Heat couldn't make it to the playoffs without Wade. Guess we'll see the true value of Kapono then..

Injured Wade hands Heat six-week setback

HOUSTON, (AFP) - Miami superstar guard Dwyane Wade has suffered a dislocated left shoulder and is expected to miss the next six weeks of the season for the reigning National Basketball Association champions.

Wade sufferd the injury here Wednesday in a 112-102 loss to the Houston Rockets, but the loss of the player will be for more crippling than the defeat for a 26-27 club clinging to the final Eastern Conference playoff berth.

Pat Riley, in his first game back from knee and hip surgery as coach of the Heat, said Miami must adapt to the absence of Wade until the final days of the regular season, expecting big play from Shaquille O'Neal and Alonzo Mourning.

"We can do some different things. 'Zo' can still play down inside," Riley said.

Wade, taken from the court in a wheelchair, remained in hospital overnight and did not accompany the Heat to Dallas for Thursday's rematch of last year's NBA Finals against the Mavericks.

So far this season, the Heat's record without Wade is 1-6. That includes many games where star center O'Neal has been absent with verious injuries.

But the health of "Shaq" will now be vital if the Heat is to have any hope of making a le defense in the playoffs.

After Dallas, the Heat must face the East's three top clubs - Detroit, Washington and LeBron James-led Cleveland, in the next four games.

If the Heat dont go to the playoffs this year, are they the first defending champion ever not to play in the playoffs?

Ouch. Hope it's not as bad as it looks, and he's back and healthy for the playoffs. I want a rematch, and I don't want a repeat of '05 with all the Heat fans whining how "we would have won the ECFs if Wade was healthy."

It's just a damn game; wishing injury on someone, or celerating when they do get hurt, is just ty and weak. But there's nothing wrong with finding some humor in it (or with wishing heartbreak on the H3ats F@ns).

comeon, I seen plenty badly dilocated shoulders and the ppl would not act like this, actually the girls would cry like this, but not the guys

damn wade now if we make the playoffs we will most likely have to face detriot and now tday we will get our asses handed to us but you must also have to look at this a different way if we do make the playoffs d-wade will be very fresh so this will either kill us or help us

i really hope so hopefully they do cuz ma uncle is a season ticket holder and said my b-day present would be playoff tickets and i would really like to attend one of those games it would be a first for me
