One thing I will support in this whole Luka/AD situation is both parties actually operated like men and didn’t pillow talk with the media till this trade went down. That never happens these days.
    they probably in tbh

They didn't talk with the media because they didn't know until it happened.
Both GM’s and ownership had very closed door and quiet conversations

When does the Spurs flight to MEM leave? Would like to see a trade done before then, tbh

Believe it or not, never had a twitter account.

    Who said I was?

I'm not guessing, I'm try to make logical conclusions based on what's going around the league.
I don't read twitter all day, I watch games every single night I'm at home. Not just the Spurs.
And if you actually watch games, you see how's team chemistry everywhere etc.

You're making your entire argument based on an outlier that happens once every few decades.
A star was traded. A star leaves a team. Literally happens every season. Media is blowing this up.

Lukas not staying in shape has been as bad as Zion, they just don't report the same. Lukas defense in the finals was likely the worse of all time for a superstar. Luke had a 350 super max coming up.

The supermax has caused teams to move stars. There was a reason teams were focused on the 2026 FA. Every year, there's something new we never thought would happen. That's normal. It's not an outlier.

Was reading the SAC fan forum, and all the talk is Spurs/Fox from them. Usually fan bases are coming out of nowhere with crazy hypothetical trades. They seem gun set on Castle being involved and if he isn’t there gonna lose their minds lol

Dread befalls me. I’m getting the sense now that nothing gets done. I’m going to take a shower and maybe this feeling goes away.

    Out of my a** odds:

20-25% chance SA gets Fox here at deadline

50% chance they get him in Summer

If he somehow doesnt get traded at all by Kings and gets to FA hes a Spur

2.4ppg and 2.2apg extra in exchange for way worse defense (not just in counting stats)?
    Fox > Luka, tbh.

Good thing that fanbase has practiced losing their minds for decades now.

The mood in the room was somber and sullen following a 144-110 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. One by one, players slowly shuffled toward the door, wondering what was to come with Thursday’s NBA trade deadline fast approaching.

Fox held his 6-month-old daughter, Poppy, in his arms as he got ready to leave the locker room late Saturday night. He talked about his 2-year-old son, Reign, admitting he had changed his mind about encouraging the boy to play tennis instead of basketball when he gets older.

Fox took his time in saying what felt like a long goodbye. He thanked locker room attendants, expressed appreciation for Kings staffers and then walked out the door, his destination unknown as the team headed to Minnesota. One thing was clear. If this is the end for Fox after almost eight seasons in Sacramento, he will be missed.

It wouldn't surprise me if the FO decided to collectively put a hold on anything to "evaluate the new realities of the NBA" or some like that.

Honestly, I wouldn't be totally mad if we waited until the summer. I prefer now because it would be more entertaining for me in the short run, but there is a case to be made for waiting.

Waiting may also result in us completely missing the boat, so there is risk that way too.

Still hoping Recee Fox is coming home and bring De'Aaron with her.

With what that guy said, the Kings and Spurs could have talked, but ended it once the Spurs made clear Castle was off the table, and the “reporting” still would be correct. If what the Modesto Grifter had said were true, the deal already would have been announced. He’s just stringing it out for clicks.

So basically, nothing on when he said “very close to being completed if not already done”? Way video goes, sounds like they’re still discussing a POTENTIAL deal.

edit: nobody should “stay tuned” if there’s no deal. Especially if no deal happens and ole boy was just generating clicks imo

The Doncic fiasco is a cautionary tale that the Spurs would be wise to heed. Not comparing Doncic's lifestyle/personality to Wembanyama's, but in general there's too many variables and volatility nowadays to be overly consumed with the long term.

That's not to be confused with being reckless, but they need to think more so medium term or in increments.
