Considering this FA, not a bad deal by the Kings. Vet SG in a short term deal. Way better than overpay to get Dion Waiters like they wanted to do.

The aging NBA players(like Afflalo) that were supposed be getting dwindling contracts end up with better contracts than they ever had. So fortunate.

Ive been headhunted several times. A couple times it has happened when I wasn't actively searching. I got calls and emails. I didnt even listen. When I'm not pushing my intent out there, I find it tasteless for employers to call out of the blue. I wouldn't want to be associated with that, even for a raise, better benefits, working conditions, etc. You are the company you keep.

The other times I have had employers calling was due to word of mouth that I was looking. This time I did listen. BUT only because I KNEW I wasn't a lifer at my current(at that time) place of employment. It's about loyalty with me.

To hear about these guys parading around and wasting time, it's nonsense, really. If I were KD I would be working the choking out of my game. Hearing about this should make it even more enjoyable the Spurs have the characters that they do. Unfortunately, Pop is buying into this garbage. If you have to hear someone tell you you're great, you're not that great. Maybe that's why KD Lebum Aldridge have a knack for choking.

It's not being "head-hunted" when they're looking for a new manager of Radio Shack. But you were right not to listen, because the Great American Cookie Company would have fired your ass if they knew you were looking elsewhere.

You claim that you didn't listen to incoming offers, so that means Durant shouldn't see what's available? What makes people like you think that everyone else should behave just like you? But, hey... it's good to know that you wouldn't be a choker, like Kevin Durant, because you'd be in the gym working that out. I guess being here, typing stupid all the time, is your equivalent of being a gym rat.

Any way we can send Diaw and change for Vucevic? Orlando now has Biyombo, Ibaka, & Vucevic. Vucevic has 3 more years left on his contract at 12 mil per year or so.

Biyombo is really a 4, and next to ibaka, that will be one fun defensive anchor to watch.

Here's a list of next season's FA's to compare. The cap will be going up so much that teams won't have any trouble paying their big-impact players. So unless they just don't like where they are, you aren't going to see any of them getting pried loose. http://www.spotrac.com/nba/free-agents/2017/

I'm thinking this might also be a good time to make a trade that includes a pick. Rookie contracts are going to be HUGE bargains. Even more so than they have been.

Wow! He deserves it, considering his youth and the elite skills he has defensively, but talk about a guy who just last season was not reupped by his team, and picked up very cheaply by the Raptors. Good for him.

Elite pg or bust next year. That's what we need given the talents of Green, Kawhi, and LMA.

Spurs could have pursued Ish Smith and gotten him for cheap based on other agreements. Agreed td a 3 year 18M deal earlier.

Would have been a fantastic second option at PG. And his quickness would have been nice.
