I find the following extraordinary. Not only did Putin's meeting in Belarus not go so well... Putin had to actually state that Russia had no intentions of absorbing Belarus. Putin said this AFTER the leader of Belarus stated that Belarus was a sovereign nation. Previously this had been stated as a reaction to NATO, not Russia
Putin is having a tough time diplomatically, even with his puppet. The people of Belarus want NOTHING to do with this war.

That is a huge leap in ability from just breathing, eating, and expelling waste.

I know a girl from Belarus who has lived in the US for 7 years.
She has family that lives there and still goes back. She has seen the letters from the government and had a good laugh when a few guys got called up she knew. They started going to these big facilities and no instructor or recruiter or official showed up and they just left. Or when an instructor would show up, they would do some jumping jacks and then leave. Now the men don’t even go. Some went West when the Russians started the build up, flat out left the country.
The Russians will be going it alone if they attack from Belarus. Or maybe a few guys will go and be paid heavily for the photos they are in with Russian troops and then just go back to Belarus. The Russians could, I guess, blow up some cities in Belarus and claim it was Ukraine to force some sort of decision.

I’ve been in and out of Bakhmut several times since June 1st (and worked there in 2015-16, and 2018) , so I broke when he brought out the flag.
