How does Obama represent all black Americans? That's the craziest thing I've ever heard.
Hahah, that's a joke but that is also kinda true...I didn't learn to swim until my late 20's. I almost drowned twice in my life.
How does Obama represent all black Americans? That's the craziest thing I've ever heard.
If Obama wins the presidency, what will be the first thing written about him in the history books? No matter what Obama does in office, there will be 1 sure fire line about him in the history books.
The day Obama wins the presidency, what line will EVERY newspaper have in common.
What would be that line?
Rev. Wright doesn't and his views didn't represent Obama, according to Obama, same thing.
What's ignorant is him not giving an explanation for why he said, "Black", in regards to his explanation.
If you let the media determine what's real and what isn't, what's important and what isn't, then you have already lost.
Rev Wright is in the minority, for the majority, yes Obama represents the US black race.
That's a cop-out an you know it. This is getting into semantics.
Answer the question.
If he represents the majority and there is a minority, how can he represent all? This makes zero sense.
Alright, i'll answer it now. I don't know. Also, you don't either. You can assume, but assumptions prove nothing.
I never said every single black person. I said the black people...and when you speak of a people, you speak of the majority, not the minority.
You don't know or you don't wish to answer?
You gotta be kidding me if you don't know that answer. Even a kid in grammar school can give you this answer if Obama becomes president.
You and I both know what Obama will be known for above all else if he becomes president unless he does something truly great like solve poverty or hunger.
I can see by this "I don't know" answer you will not be reasonable as some of the posters are, I don't see a point in arguing with you anymore.
The statement, "The Black People", does not separate, the black people, whatsoever. If you don't separate them, they are together, therefore, it's all.
What are you trying to imply? That way I can address it properly. I don't like to assume that much, especially in matters of seriousness such as these.
Even a kid knows what Obama will be if he wins the elections, I know you're not that stupid.
Somebody had PM'ed me saying that it was pointless debating with you because you'll never admit it when you are wrong. Now I see they were right.
I'm done.
Whatever floats your boat, good day sir.
Dead Man Walking?
no, that's just in the South. And Boston (go Gino!)
Yes, that's probably true, unfortunately.
Why did you say he'd be "Dead Man Walking"? Cuz he's a Democrat?![]()
Cuz Josh Howard told us that Obama doesn't celebrate the National Anthem n .
I didn't see this posted.
Ron Artest on the Josh Howard Fiasco
by Marcel Mutoni
What? You were expecting someone else?
Naturally, the first athlete to publicly acknowledge L’affaire Josh was Ron Artest, a man who has never been afraid to tackle race relations head on.
The Sacramento Bee emailed Artest about the controversy, and below is his measured response.
“I think josh howards comment is a reflection on education. I think the schools need to teach deeper in the history classes and make the students aware of racism but also teach them that all people are not bad.
“I can relate to not feeling wanted by my own country at times but as I dug deeper I realized that America is divided and we need leaders to bring America closer together. An example where I felt unwanted by my country was when I didn’t get a chance to tryout for my national team. I believed it was because my history. I hope he overcomes this. Family 1st”
I’m not sure what Ron means with the “Family 1st” thing, but his response is interesting nonetheless. Always warms my heart when Mr. Artest proves to be the voice of reason in what is quickly turning into a predictably ugly debate.
Josh Howard didn't say that (as far as I know)..nobody can figure out what he said about Obama. That is why you said Obama would be "Dead Man Walking"?
Thanks for the article Duncan228, I have not seen it.I’m not sure what Ron means with the “Family 1st” thing, but his response is interesting nonetheless. Always warms my heart when Mr. Artest proves to be the voice of reason in what is quickly turning into a predictably ugly debate.
He would have been great on the Olympic team, I think Ron knows how to behave when surrounded by people he respects.
I like Artest and even though he's been boneheaded at times, he doesn't blame it on being black, he blames it on Ron Artest being Ron Artest.

NBA to go light on Josh Howard
Apparently, Josh Howard's latest brush with controversy won't cost him cash. More importantly, it won't cost him any games.
An official from the NBA said the league is not likely to take any action against Howard for showing disrespect to The Star Spangled Banner.
The spokesman cited previous incidents involving Charlie Ward and Allen Iverson, who both made controversial statements and received no repercussions.
When you think about it, that's probably the prudent move by the league. When you start legislating against freedom of speech, you're treading on ground that is almost certain to bring up a legal discussion.
Besides, the league could have plenty of other reasons to dip into Howard's bank account with his summer street racing and last season's admission of marijuana use.
Mark Cuban tries spin control for Josh Howard (again)
Gotta give Mark Cuban credit for publicly having Josh Howard's back, even if Cuban's take on J-Ho's latest bonehead incident makes absolutely no sense.
Owner Mark Cuban said the Mavericks dealt with Howard's flag football episode after it happened in July.
"That said, we will be going through some advanced communication-skill sessions together this training camp," Cuban said Tuesday. "I have explained to him that cellphone cameras are not your friend and that what you think you said on camera is never what people will hear when it shows up on YouTube or TV.
"There is only one universal response that works: 'Both teams played hard.'"
What exactly did Howard think he was saying when he looked into the camera and came up with this doozy? "'The Star-Spangled Banner' is going on. I don't celebrate this [expletive]. I'm black."
So the solution is apparently advising Howard to give nothing but boring, bland quotes, which is what he has been delivering in the Mavs' locker room on a regular basis anyway.
The Mavs' PR folks will have their hands full trying to fix J-Ho's image, but they can't help him if he doesn't grow up fast.
I was hesitant to interrupt with info on the original topic.![]()
