Houston needs to lose to dallas for us to get the 3rd seed, provided we win out.
that seeding is too complicated for me

Houston destroyed the Hornets by 20. Dallas beat Minnesota by 2. Denver beat the Kings by 20. Portland leading OKC by over 30 points with 10 minutes left in 4th...

Portland needs to lose as well, since they own the head to head

I think being division winners would trump the head to head.

Mavs<Spurs has a great thread on the seedings. I'm sure it will get bumped after this game. Spells everything out pretty well.

Wow I must of missed Danny Granger getting his teeth knocked out earlier in the season.

I can see why the Pacers fans wanted Artest and Jackson out of there so Danny can get more court time.

Danny Granger is a badass. He's smart, and he's a team player. He's one guy I would really love to see in Silver and Black.

Portland needs to lose as well, since they own the head to head
best case scenario would be, Dallas wins, Portlands wins and we end up 4th going against Houston with HCA.

We were 3rd in the lottery in 1997, not 6th as the commentator said.

used to...but as of a few years ago, a 2nd place team can be as high as a 2 seed, if they have a better record than the other two division winners.

all 3 division winners are guaranteed a top 4 seed, not a top 3.

If Dallas wins we win the division which makes us automatically the third seed. This is a new rule for this season. Division winners override any tiebreakers.
