You think? I'm not so sure about that......the Lakers, if healthy, can probably take them.....it all depends on Garnett's health among other things.
My face would be smiling, because we won the le..why would I care about being wrong? I'm not being paid for my opinions here LOL..I'm speaking facts..I live in NY, Wilcox is constantly criticized here for his work ethic, I'm not making this up..

What do you think?
There is no certainty. Certainty is, in all things, an illusion.
RC said Holt "challenged" him to make moves that would improve the team. I've never heard RC or anyone else definitively say that the entire MLE could and would be used. If they do I will be very happily surprised, but for now the "fact" that they are willing to have a payroll 7-10 million above the cap is just like the "fact" that Rasheed would be in town on monday or tuesday to discuss joining the spurs... in other words, pure speculation by hopeful fans.
Didn't Pop say that the MLE would be used?..I thought I remembered reading that..I could be wrong..
Drew Gooden?
Hedo 2.0?
He'll change his mind tomorrow...
wilcox, I don't want him on our team. Lets get Zaza.
well that's lame.
maybe the FO is trying to go TOO young.
It's entirely possible Rasheed just didn't want to come here. It's unlikely we'll really know, but more than the FO not recruiting heavily enough, he might have had his sights set somewhere else.
Whenever the EN starts writing about a player we're interested in it usually feels like a smokescreen later when we end up with someone no one thought of.
Given RC's confidence, I'm thinking a trade has already been arranged. A proposed trade would be more reliable than entering into a bidding war via free agency.
But that's just a guess.
let sheed walk, let him lose. Out of Us, Cleveland, LA, Orlando, and Boston, I would say Boston is the worst team on the list. Having the oldest set of superstars supported by the weakest bench makes for injuries. Sheed is not a smart man. Good thingis.
Splitter?
Frankly, I think I'd rather have Gooden than anyone, including Rasheed and McDyess.
Not surprised.... like this always happens to us... we think we are going to get some big name like Maggette or Sheed and then get fooled... at least we didn't have to wait weeks for him to make his decison.
As mentioned, there seems to be no reason for Rasheed not to have visited San Antonio unless the Spurs told him not to.
This is just a dumb post. Maggette took more money to go elsewhere. Can't blame him for cashing in.
I believe it was a load and a half more money, to be more exact.
Never let facts get in the way of bad fiction!!!
Thanks for reminding us...that Maggette took way more money than Spurs could offer last season.
Gee, yet another free agent spurns us, oh well, him he'll be another Jason Kidd and not win anymore cuz of it. Bring On Mcdyess or even Lamar Odom, Odom has good athleticism that we can use. Even Big Baby sounds good, though he's sorta like a bigger version of Malik Rose era 2003. Wer'e still gonna get that championship!
Well, yeah, if you want to be technical...![]()
With how much the Spurs have been publicizing the RJ acquisition, I find it hard to believe they're going to offer the entire MLE on one FA big. I think they don't have the cash to do it. Unless a ton of us decide to buy some season tickets all of a sudden.
I'm sold.
Piston fans would know best and this guy 15 footers were automatic.
I started to see Sheed might not have been a good fit for the spurs and how he could cost
them a game with one of his tantrums.
Spurs look good at the 5 now with todays signing.
We're still looking for that 4, lets move on and get this guy.
First off..

Well, and you wonder why Pop's love and appreciation for Fin is never-ending...
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed but at the same time, I'm a Spurs fan. I'm aware as to how this free-agency thing goes..
He would have been a great fit basketball-wise, but I guess you cant take the east-coast out of a guy.
I hate that he's going to be play with those two D-Bags Garnett and Allen (who've made me root against the one team I used to like outside of the Spurs) but it is what it is.
It's strange, though. I mean, it almost feels like the Spurs' biggest target was 'Sheed but they didn't seemingly want him to be. Like his skillset and ability fit their needs to a T basketball-wise, so they felt it was a no-brainer/gots-to-do acquisition, but it wasn't what they wanted to do in their heart of hearts; their lack of effort leading me to that conclusion.
All is not lost and I'm sure they've got something in the works, but for now...![]()
I am not upset about this at all. I think he is too old and loses interest fast. Plus there is the Wake Forest v. North Carolina ACC rivalry. Its there.
I wanted Zaza from the beginning and I think he would fit well next to TIm. He is also a real center. I could live with Gooden if we could get them both for the Mid level I would be happy, but I realize it is unlikely. However, that would solidify our front line.
I'd go balls out for Antonio McDyess now if it were me personally.
The haislip signing makes sense now if Sheed's agent calls and says he's going to Boston.
Spurs wanted a shooting big, Hasilip does that, and now they will want a low post big and that might be McDyess.
At least I hope it is![]()
I wonder if this was really the case. I don't think they were that aggressive for a reason, I really don't think they believed that he would work here. I think they are looking for younger and cheaper alternatives. We can find a younger guy to jack up three pointers. Wallace was old and not nearly as effective as a defensive player from what I saw from him last year.
