yesterday has killed my legs... my legs feel like right now! so sore.
i added 10-4's & turnies to my list of exercises to do at the boxing gym. turnies in' suck! i like 10-4's though.
oh and runnin' a mile in this weather sucks too! i can barely breath when i'm out there running around.
got to watch a few people spar yesterday... and all the while thinking to myself, "these kids are gonna bust me when i get my chance" haha!
ok so this boxing thing aint no joke! am i sore, tired, and just wanna relax. my legs are shot & my body aches but i am loving the out of this training. it's awesome and exactly what i need.
today i did my workout up there but also added a few things. my boxing instructor had me doing these crazy ass situps and some odd ass back exercises to end my day.
i also got in the ring for the first time today but there was no boxing involved. haha. just got in there with another dude, who has been there for a month now, to perfect our jabs with one another. this guy seems as though he wants instant gratification but to me it's all about technique and my instructor backed that same thinking up. he told this dude to watch what i was doing and that i was only 3 days into working out up there but that i am doing everything to the T.
i ask so many questions i think my instructor is proud of that and possibly annoyed. hahaha. i just wanna make sure what i am doing in the mirror is correct and that my stroke gets perfected. i ain't taking no shortcuts!
if things between IHustle and i come to fruitation in 6 months, well... IHustle you better start hustlin', get on the grind and run a ton because i'm gonna be runnin' circles around ya no doubt. call me flash!

Like I said, either way, you arent even remotely in the same weight class.
Again, you have at least 100lbs on him. He's a skinny, short dude. Under 6' and less than 160lbs (no matter what he says). He could swing as hard as he ever could, connect and it probably wouldnt faze a guy your size.I am not overstating my size at all. If I was going to build myself up I would knock off about 40 pounds or so and 6 feet isn't really that tall. Now if I said I was 6 foot 10 and 245 then I would be building myself up. I put myself closer to Butterbean than Vladimir Klitschko.
This fact, no matter his progress on the weight training front, ruins the thread, IMO.
Now, if he's some KungFu Guru with a roundhouse kick on par with Chuck Norris, we have a ballgame because I dont give a how big you are, you take a front kick to the nose, youre going ing down. But short of that...yeah...this isnt a contest.

Hey I didn't set it up. I was responding to your comment about me building myself up though and not about it being an even match. I know it's not an even match. I'm just doing it to raide money for charity.
whottt alerted me to this thread's existence last night but I've been heavily medicated on sudafeds and marijuana (trust me, it doesn't sound like it should work but it does) ever since. Hopefully I don't have the swine flu.
For the record ATRAIN lost a bet to me and the bet was a few rounds of beer if the Texans lost to the Colts. They lost and he bought me two giant ass draft beers that I would say came out to the same amount of beer as 4-5 cans so he paid up like a champ. The whole bet was kind of shady though, since picking the Colts over the Texans is like taking candy from a baby.
Second, 90210 never showed up at Starbucks. Steven was there with the video camera and everything. I guess his sister-wife's honor wasn't worth sticking up for after all.
Third, I'd take I.Hustle in this fight.

This thread is funny because it definitely seemed like koriwhat was on the defensive at the beginning but he has kind of turned the momentum back in his favor.![]()
If I. Hustle has good hand eye co-ordination it should be an easy win based on sheer size. It's definitely an uphill battle for koriwhat...but it's not impossible.
today was my hardest day at the gym... i'm so tired right now.
anyhow, went to academy and bought a pair of these and a few other things.

btw, i think i am going to be testing out of the first of 4 training stations by next week some time.
threw up a couple times today during the last 5 mins of boxing. this is such an extreme workout but damn if i aint gonna give it my all. i feel like dying at times but man is it worth it. i am shedding weight which i dont want to do but it is what it is. at the same time though i am gaining muscle and becoming cut. with all these different workouts i dont think my whole body wont be in top notch shape.
i feel beat down but i also feel uplifted(is that even a word?).
i just feel like this is what ive been missing in life. wish i wouldve got into boxing years ago. i think everyone should enroll themselves into such a program, regiment, workout.
ok so today i tried to test out of the 1st circuit of 4 and well i suppose i didn't make it. never got word but tomorrow i can try again.
plus i hurt my foot after training. was playing bball with the kids and was still wearing my boxing shoes and spun on my right foot wrong... is hurting like ! no broken bones or swelling but it freakin' hurts so much.
so i tore a tendon in my foot and have been out of training for 1/2 a week. i am going nuts not being able to workout at the boxing gym and i am so in' pissed at myself for being stupid enough to get hurt. god this in' sucks!

I have a really stiff neck. I jacked it up trying to do too much. The only cool thing about it is I feel like Batman.
i forgot to change my shoes after class and went outside with the kids and tried to hustle them in some bball. flat shoes like my boxing shoes are not ideal on bumpy concrete. this is driving me insane. i thought by today i might possibly be better but my foot doesn't seem to be healing fast enough, probably cause i don't stay off it like the doc said to. i hate not being active!
this is literally depressing to me.
so im going back to the gym today and my instructor insists he has workouts for me where i am not on my feet. what those are exactly i don't know. i imagine a bunch of upper body workouts but i wanna get back into throwing punches and whatnot. in due time i suppose.
gotta let this ed up foot heal... damn i don't think anything has gotten me down as much as this injury has. i was on a roll and now i'm stagnant. gotta get back on the grind somehow!
