Manu got LEVELED going up for that board
Wait a minute, Pop is starting Richard Jefferson at center?
So is your opinion that if they are playing small ball we have to do it too?
Sadly most NBA teams don't have that idea when we play small ball
P>S, how have you guys liked having Ben Gordon this year?
Rip makes some of the worst passes . . .
WTH was with that quick shot from Manu.
I know small ball is a recurring negative theme for Spur fans, but for this particular game, with the lineups we use, it's not all that big of a deal. We go with 3 guards all the time. Wallace and Maxiell are both like 6'7". Villanueva is a perimeter scorer. Jonas is a rook and not much of a threat. Small ball against us shouldn't be a big deal.
I mean, as we all know, Tim Duncan is NOT a center, so HE couldn't have been the one slotted in.
Maybe Bogans is the Spurs' center?
....tell me about it
LOL Jefferson
woot look at RJ with a post game i guess that is why he is listed as sf/c
What's happened to Duncan? I'm not talking about age/injury related. He's got 6-7 Maxiell on him and instead of getting deep post position and punishing him, he's shooting one handed fallaway's from about 12 feet? He should feel disrespected that the Pistons are putting Maxiell on him, but instead it's like he's powerless to it. His scoring and efficiency are slipping by the game. Forget prime, he's a s of his former self from earlier this season.
Once again, this re coach get's results playing big, so he goes back to playing small and voila, the team is instantly struggling. Blair and McDyess are two of the six-seven best players on the team. Particularly with Parker out, you can't have unproductive players like Bogans and even Mason playing significant minutes.
damn rip is awesome
I hope this game turns real physical. Maybe the Spurs can gain themselves some semblance of an iden y by turning into the gritty, physical team that surrenders nothing.
Uh . . . No. Atleast in this case it makes sense match-up wise.
This game is incredibly boring. I think I'm done.
He was great in early on. Scoring 20pts at will. But that was also with Rip out due to injury. And then he missed a bunch games aswell. He's struggled too damn much lately learning how to be effective without having the ball in his hands all that often. The jury is still out. I think he'll be a good fir for us once we get rid of Rip, and give him a bigger more defined role.
TBH, I think Duncan is hurting his game a lot more than his possible injuries/fatigue are..his rebounding and defense is the same as earlier in the season..
He just seems to have lost his confidence for some reason..his shot selection has been HORRIBLE in these last few games..he's not looking to attack at all, instead settling for tough jump shots over inferior defenders..
yes rip takes away too many touches form ben not to mention hes only been getting like 20 minutes a game lately
