Boozer's fractured hand will require surgery, put him on court after November trip. http://bit.ly/btLzpb

It'd be so nice if Gist could pan out and earn a spot. ... Just a really nice skill-set when it comes to size, athleticism and energy/motor to have coming off the bench.

I think the whole reason they actually signed him this time is to send him to the Toros. Then they can call him up as a 5th big if one of the others is hurt.

They signed him to see if he could make the roster or if it was worth investing anymore time in him. Had they not signed him to the make-good contract they would have lost his rights.

Really, Gist would be the sixth big, small-ball 4 and the defensive tweener for those matchups the Spurs just can't find an answer for.

But it's going to take a good camp and some quality play for him to earn that spot and role.

Hill's up to 20 points for the scrimmage. Those of you who have him in your intrasquad fantasy leagues should be happy. #spurs

Varner seems pretty impressed with Temples D so far. Says he's an above average defender, which I definitely agree with.

If Blair can make a similar leap to Hill's 2nd year, that would be huge. Our young guys definitely show promise.
