Disagree. I say Ibaka is being wasted. Dirk is killing plus he is NOT able to protect the rim. Sefolosha might be a better choice especially if you gonna help anyways ...

They may have to go that route, I'm not totally against it but the size advantage bothers me and the fact that Dallas may not need to go to the rim with that matchup. If they go to Thabo, they will most likely have to double which will open up someone else and the wheels will start turning from there with the Mavs' ball movement. We'll see.

Maybe Collison (if they don't hit him with fouls for being physical) or Thabo might get their turns next, but they're both smaller and KD isn't strong enough. Tough call for Brooks giving up the shotblocking at the rim, but Ibaka is the best equipped to guard Dirk, even with Dirk getting his imo overall. That may change.

I would say go with Ibaka at the start because obviously from the starting five Perkins can't guard him, but not for long. Give Collison a chance early and live with the results.
They can't guard Dirk either way but with Ibaka off him they could use him better as an help defender which is when he's at his best. Be beat by Dirk it's ok, but JJ Barea having lay ups or creating open 3 because of his penetrations is avoidable.
