I don't know about the specs though...did they talk about it for the 5c? Will it be comparable to the 5 or 4s? I like my 4s, which is why I'm not in a hurry to upgrade the day it comes out.
5c...the porsche boxster of phones.

Cook laid out the specs and it looks like the original iPhone 5 ... 8mp camera, 4.0" screen, that same . BUT the storage configs are only 16/32 which kinda sucks because I think that it'd really sell if it had 32/64 instead.
Yeah 5 guts like mini has ipad 2 innards. I like being on the s upgrade cycle tbh.
Oh word, I didn't see that part. If they had the 32/64 storage and still sold for the same price, that would've been huge. I guess the profit margins weren't big enough for that to happen.
Or they're gonna throw that in the next update cycle. I hate smartphone makers throwing all these features but they like to leave the storage space short for the user. s. 32GB should be the minimum in this day and age of the smartphone.
yeah. I had the option of getting an iphone 5 early but there's no way I'd do that. det s upgrade is worth the wait.
I wouldn't doubt it if it happened next year with both samsung and apple, especially if apple wants to even dream about competing with nintendo in the handheld market.
Can't wait for the iPhone 5c ads
"now in plastic and different colors "
I'm still running a 4, prolly gonna pick up a 5S
$549 for an unlocked 5c is kinda ridiculous.
I know Apple's business model uses high markups, but I don't think pricing their 'low-cost' model in line with flagship phones from other OEMs is the right approach.
I guess I called it

The 5C is ugly as sin. 5S looks attractive as expected, I even like the gold.
What was the point of the 5C anyways? What market was it trying to capture? It's not even that cheap.
I can only assume they wanted a cheaper production alternative than selling the iPhone 5 for longer.
teens will eat that up tbh
Really glad I picked up the s4.
Sort of like I am in the sX cycle for android, too. I like that.
They were better off getting that China money imo
Yeah, I went from S2 to S4 (one X+ mistake doesn't count). I look forward to the S6.
you don't know the POWER of colorful electronics in the asian market. /darthvader
seriously. the zipperheads love that .
My next phone TBH
Super unimpressive upgrade, IMO. Fingerprint is nice, but hardly a reason to buy a new phone. 64 bit is incredibly meh at this stage until it starts to get utilized, which probably won't be for another 2-3 years.
Will be interesting to see what the winter refresh of Android cell phones brings to the table. Right now I'm leaning toward picking up a HTC ONE. I'm guessing something else will come along soon to change my mind.
After finding out that Apple's discontinuing the original iPhone 5, this whole thing became clearer for me.
Their traditional approach has been to mark down the previous generation iPhone when the newest one comes out, using the logic that if people want to get cheaper iPhones, they can just get last year's model.
The iPhone 5c's price matches what would have been their usual markdown for the iPhone 5 at this time. Given that the 5 is being discontinued, this implies that they never meant to release a lower-cost iPhone at all, just expanding the potential market that would normally be interested in getting a marked-down iPhone by adding the color packaging.
The fact that the 5c is basically the 5 in different outfits contributes to this theory.
Whether that approach works or not is the question.
roping a new generation of teens in US that spend money in the app store where people actually buy is not bad.
A 64 bit HTC One or an s4 would have CH throbbing imho, i think he is being a bit dishonest there![]()
The HTC One is very nice, but them, I'm done with those lying gots
Too bad cuz they just started making ads with my hero Tony Stark![]()
when apple cannot innovate they turn to colors. see ipods and nanos. they were never releasing a cheap iphone. so they wanted to make the 5 not seem old so they repackaged it into a more profitable and desirable option for consumers or the apple zombies. its also to deter people from buying the 4s. they want those to go away so is7 doesnt suck on older devices.
