Rangers have won 8 out of their 9 games. Great stretch.
I knew we still had it in us. 1 game back...keep playing hard, guys.
Rangers have won 8 out of their 9 games. Great stretch.
Rangers might have a chance to catch the A's tonight. Reds up 5-1 over the A's. colon knocked out in the 3rd inning.
A's lead over the rangers down to 1/2 a game. Rangers can catch them with a win tonight.
Awesome turn of events for the Rangers. Just when it seemed we were down and out, with our consistent losses, Oakland's hot streak, injuries, and the inevitable suspension of Nelly, we're looking up...Keep rolling and get into the playoffs. We'll turn it up.
gotta keep utilizing small ball. the team has always been better when they incorporate more small ball strategies. thats how they got to the WS in 2010, and used it quite effectively in 2011 to get back to the WS when power hitting was struggling.
when healthy, this pitching staff is levels better than the pitching staffs in either of those years. Marching Darvish, Garza, and Holland out to the mound always gives me a good feeling about their chance to win. And while they have had their ups and downs, Ogando and Perez both have really been no slouch, with sub 4.00 ERAs on the season.
I felt no choice but to stop by and compliment your analysis, which is truly a work of art, an american treasure. As the sun shines through the eternal darkness, into the lowest cavern, that's what i think of when I come home from a long day and read one of your takes.
It was 300 years ago today, that Euler ushered in the age of Romanticism with the initial discovery of the function with respect to the x variable, and when I think of Philip, I think of Euler. This guy, has got it all
Agreed...small ball has always been our gig to get wins. I think being forced to go back to small ball with Nelly out will be huge, and when Nelly gets back, we can continue the strategy but still have that power in our back pocket. This could be a blessing in disguise.
Trout continues to assrape Ranger pitching.
Beltre HR!!! Rangers lead 7-2.
[QUOTE=Spursfan092120;6797329]Oh...and lol Hamilton[
hamilton with his massive .217 batting average.![]()
Great win last night. That's 4 wins in a row and 9 out their last 10.
Beltre has been beyond solid, this aggressive Inside Baseball that we are playing has been great too. Gotta love those 4 steals in the first inning for between Martin and Andrus.
Ever since that 4 homer game, he's done nothing but go downhill.
Anybody else been impressed as with Craig Gentry as of late? Dude has a HUGE baseball IQ. Get on base, steal, score. Lately, he's always seemed to know exactly what to do in each situation.
Gentry had a great Spring Training and fizzled out the first half of the season while falling out of favor with Washington. His fielding is still pretty raw, but the natural speed and baseball IQ you mentioned is impressive.
I think Gentry was dealing with some injuries too, and ended up being put on the DL for a while.
I'm guessing that getting healthy has helped him considerably.
So the Rangers of submitted a claim for Alex Rios, with the Sox having 48 hours to decide. I like the pickup - it'll give us that power missing from Cruz.

Nice find...would be a good pickup.
Garza on the mound tonight. With the series against Houston, this is a nice chance to take a lead on Oakland.
Would be a nice addition to the lineup for the rangers.
Rangers have acquired Rios for a player which is TBD:
