I guess I'll give the Spurs the benefit of the doubt and assume there was a good reason and a major incident or something. I can't believe it's just because he has struggled basketball-wise. It's been a hard year for Jack personally, and he's always been a huge favorite of mine. I was hoping he'd hit just one big shot in the playoffs, even though he's been struggling so much on the court.

Yeah that, I'll be even more embarrassed. The 2011 Grizz were not a true 8th seed and were a horrible matchup for the Spurs. That team also never really felt like a contender. This season the Spurs had one team they had to get through to reach the Finals (though the Heat would've beat them in 6) whilet he rest of the West was pretty weak. This potential collapse would be much worse.

Then they got into a heated argument." that person was asked how they knew this, and she wrote that her son was at the barbershop, and overheard Jackson say that. ...........take it for what it's worth

Tbh Pop and his "know your role" bull . It's pretty damn tiring. Having high character guys is cool and all but when you have the mentality of a role player you tend to shy away when it matters to the big dogs. Problem is this team's big dogs are old/busted/a PG. Not that Jack said the right thing, mind you, as he's clearly not playing well.

Could Singleton be the guy? He was reportedly signing with the Knicks as of yesterday, but I don't think it was made official and now today I see they've signed Jones. The player rumored to be waived in both cases is Thomas and Singleton still isn't listed on their official roster, so I'm wondering if the Spurs jumped in at the last moment and snagged him, offering a greater opportunity for minutes.
Again, if the Spurs make it to the WCFs, we can worry about that then..Jackson hurts more than he helps in the first few rounds IMO..
Jackson matches up horribly against Denver in the 2nd round, he couldn't even dribble the ball against their athletes this season, tbh..
I believe last year was Jackson's final "turning it on" run, which is expected at his age..everybody here was banking on Horry in 2008 turning it around after an atrocious regular season, but his subsequent playoffs was even worse..
Saying you are better than Manu though? Manu has done a lot for this franchise. It's kind of a slap in the face for Jack to say that about someone like Manu. Yeah, yeah Manu's been hurt most of the year but it's not like Jack was filling in his role.
Terrible news.
Jax was a good you could trust in the playoffs. I'd rather have Jax on the court then Blair, Bonner, Green and Neal. Jax was also a great option to play small against Thunder.

Jack was upset because he didn't get a contract extension from the spurs and he was also upset with his playing time.... He got into arguments with Pop about it and we all know Jack ....you only rent him for awhile before BOOM!!!!
Regardless of how poor SJax's season has been, he is NEEDED for defense on KD (if they get there). Spurs don't really need his offense but he's the only wing other than Kwahi with size. Leonard can't play 48 minutes with tendonitis in his knee and what happens if he gets in foul trouble?
He should have shanked Neal on his way out.

Yeah, Jack wasn't in the right either. Still, we need role players stepping up, not being told they're nothing more than spare parts.
