I don't gamble, so do any of you bitcoin fans know of any who added up all the money made with bitcoin legally vs all the $Ms lost by investors who lost legitimately vs all the $Ms bitcoin stolen?

a majority of bitcoin operations in the past two years were straight scams.

The surge of interest in cryptocurrencies has been accompanied by a proliferation of fraud, largely in the form of pump and dump schemes. This column provides the first measure of the scope of such schemes across cryptocurrencies. The results suggest that the phenomenon is widespread and often quite profitable, and highlight the need for concerted efforts from industry and regulators to fight cryptocurrency price manipulation.

That is the biggest problem I found...it only takes a couple of whales to move the price up or down...i still think blockchain is going to be used by everyone in the future....it will end worldwide poverty...

Never got into cryptocurrency. I have friends that did though, they were thinking of selling at 20K but that was only a couple weeks or so ago it seems. Now they are holding on for the ride.

LOL wasn't Dogecoin created specifically to make fun of how stupid Bitcoin and Litecoin were?

yep, it was. But they've gone from a joke to having Elon Musk and celebrity endorsements. It might turn into a waste of $200, or maybe a winning lottery ticket.

Worst of these coins is ing ethereum. They design their algorithm to be resistant to making special use ASICs like how all the other coins are mined, because they say corporations will take over the coin then, so every couple of years when bitcoin gets pumped up ethereum comes along for the ride and wipes out the all the stock of computer graphics cards and sends their prices up to 2.5x retail value. What a joke, like big mining organizations don't buy up the gpus to mine on.

With eth prices what they are now you can generate $400 to $500 worth of ethereum a month mining 24/7 on an RTX 3080 supposedly.

I just included the amount of coin you can generate since electricity prices vary a lot all over the nation. RTX 3080 will consume around 320W running full blast. Hence why these mining farms are huge in nations with cheap electricity like China.

Not as bad as I feel selling 20 bitcoins at $400 each in 2015?
