If it raises the prices of imports and we pay for it at the register aren't we just paying for it indirectly?
Doesn't even know how to use brackets right

No it wouldn't. It would generate jobs and be symbolic of a tougher stance on illegal immigration.
government bills them, they forward it to us via price hike
symbolic of a tougher stance, symbolic being the key word
a wall won't stop Central American refugees from surrendering to BP through ports of entry:
http://www.politico.com/agenda/story...-crisis-000286Far from evading authorities, most of these migrants from Central America want to be caught by the Border Patrol, so they can claim asylum. This is very different from the immigration crisis that Trump imagines, where undo ented Mexicans cross the border and go into hiding. In fact, fewer Mexicans are doing this than at any time in the past few decades. We don’t have a border security crisis or an uncontrolled flood of people coming from Mexico to take our jobs. Instead, we have a humanitarian crisis.
It’s also a crisis of our immigration system, which is now bursting at the seams from processing this influx. Currently, there is a 500,000-case backlog in the immigration courts — with many cases pending for five years or more. This backlog ripples its way through the system because we can’t send people back who have pending asylum claims and we can’t and shouldn’t detain people during that delay. So the smugglers tell migrants if they get to the border, all they need to do is make a minimally credible claim for asylum and they’ll be allowed to stay for the many years it takes to resolve it in court. The smugglers aren’t wrong.
Spending $14 billion to build a wall isn’t going to solve this problem. Under the law, migrants are en led to have credible asylum claims heard. We can’t just bounce kids and families seeking protection off a wall, and leave them to their fate on the other side. Not only would this be immoral, it would be illegal: U.S. and international law mandate that we afford all seeking entry an ability to claim asylum if they have a credible fear of harm in their home country. Even if we were to build a wall along the border, such a wall wouldn’t block these migrants seeking asylum because many seek entry through our official ports of entry, such as Laredo or El Paso. You can’t just build a wall across Interstate 5 at the border between San Diego and Tijuana, or sever the Bridge of the Americas connecting El Paso and Juarez unless one wants to completely cut off America from Mexico, our third-largest trading partner. That is not a realistic option, so Central American asylum seekers will still come, whether there’s a wall or not.
all this conservative talk of less spending and then they tax the american people, the majority of who do not support this -- 50 billion $![]()
political parties don't have principles. expedience, opportunity and power are the only things they care about.
November 15, 2015: comments made by Hillary Clinton in a New Hampshire Town Hall
“I voted numerous times when I was a senator to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in,” Clinton said “and I do think that you have to control your borders.”
Just think how much this wall is going to cost if Trump doesn't hire illegals to build it.
Hire people on welfare
MIT engineering estimates $25-40B, excluding maintenance, staffing
Most are working, or unable to work.
But he used illegals to build Trump Tower.
