Sometimes he looks lazy on the court to me. No amount of losing weight will account for the fact he's standing still in a spot and not moving to grab a rebound, a lose ball or to contest a shot. I am glad he lost the weight but he needs to put in more effort too. I hope that effort is going to accompany the weight loss.
I hope so too, and for a guy in his late 30's, having the determination to work out during the summer is good, and being lighter when hitting the court is a great physical and mental help. Gassing out quickly would increment anybody's laziness.

So hopefully it works out for the best. And again, hopefully LMa understands that.

He’s a guy whose only skill is shooting and he can’t make shots.
He has no interest in rebounding or doing the little things to help the team. Just shoot - and like you said, miss.

There is also a player called Boldon - He was picked up in the 2nd round by philly.

I should have said he was my first choice....His dad played pro over here in Melbourne and his skill set is very interesting.

Shoots 3 (quick release), can block shots...has a motor...pro experience....

i was holding out some hope because he was semi under the radar until a couple months prior to the draft.

If we could have "bought" a prospect like him (or Mason etc) similar to what G/S has been doing it would go a long way
I actually wanted Bolden. Just before the draft I saw a few people here mention him and I wondered if his dad was Bruce Bolden. I looked it up and found out that he was. His dad was a pretty good player and I thought he might have been a decent pick for the Spurs. Oh well, the Spurs hardly pick who the majority of the fans on here want.

I also wanted Patty Mills in the draft as he was available for the Spurs to pick deep in the 2nd round of the draft. I can't believe the Spurs passed up on him. I thought he could maybe turn into a lite version of Tony Parker if he was drafted by the Spurs. Patty had pure speed back then, but couldn't shoot for (similar to a young Tony Parker). A young TP was a little bit better finisher and passer than a young Patty, but the speed was very similar to TP. I'm actually amazed that he's turned into a better shooter than Parker. It's not the way that I thought Mills would develop. I thought he'd be better/stronger in other areas - getting to the rim with his speed, passing the ball and running the point. I never thought shooting would be his main asset. I didn't think he'd be a top notch shooter, though. He developed the opposite to how I thought he would. If he was drafted by the Spurs, I really think he may have been a different player to what he is today.

Yeah back when i was a kid i actually had a part time job at Bruce's trading card shop.....i was also a ball boy back then....remember the magic man?

i wish we would have drafted mills also and think he would have turned out a much better player. Those first 2? years in Portand were wasted with injury & little development then it took a few years to get respect for the spurs.

Are you from Melbourne? Ever heard of helping hoops? .......in 3-5 years time Australia is going to pump out 10+ Thon Makers.

We (Australia) took on thousands of Sundanese refugee's and so many of these kids are being taught the right way and are as athletic as thon (top 5% of nba).

It's like we have a hidden African camp underway...someone should tell RC & POP to monitor this.

    RE Bolden:

unbelievable to me that he wasn't a first round pick....we obviously look for similar things or have the same eye for talent. He might even be the best power forward on the team and win the starting spot by the seasons end.

I know we have Bertan's already, but Boldon is a no brainier if you can just "buy" him as a late 2nd round pick....same with mason.

    How did BP3 look?
He's small, more like a guard, than a wing. He had some defensive tenacity to him, but missed a bunch of shots. I'd have to see him more to say more. He played at the end of the game and I had to turn off the game with around 5 minutes to go.

Contract Aldridge looked like Portland Aldridge. Could make us interesting this year.

    joff continues to surprise

murray might not be the worst starting point but yeesh his d is awful. Everybody looks like an all star against him.

    that is all

Green/Kawhi/LMA are very formidable tbh. Even Anderson depending on the matchup he's got

I don't know why Frank Mason was rated so low on the draft boards, he should have been taken higher despite his size tbh.

The ones on nba.com and spurs.com were all just Kings highlights. Not a single shot by the Spurs shown, other than Anderson blowing a layup so the Kings could run it back for a dunk.

There is also a 6-minute Highlights vid on Youtube that is also all Kings highlights. I know how to use Google, guys.

I want to see how some of our guys played, not just see them getting beat on defense.

Check the FB page again and scroll down. There's a whole video montage to Lamarcus scoring 17 points. Another video shows just Spurs highlights.
