The sad thing is that he got actually rewarded despite stinking up on our way to a sweep..Can't remember any role player to getting +10 millions salary despite ending the playoff on such an ugly note....

    Mind boggling ..

Can I get a non troll response as to how we're losing so bad? I stopped watching in the 1st qtr.
Have to give credit to Cousins and A.DAvis, they are talented. '
For the Spurs, they lack in perimeter playmaking, the second unit came in TO the ball too much, made way too many mistakes and allowed the Pelicans to get back in the game. After that the home team got confident. The Spurs continued to make too many mistakes. Guys passed up on shots or look tentative at times. The 3 ball wasn't falling either when the game mattered. Half the 3rd Q and the entire 4th Q was garbage time. Rudy getting a rhythm and Dijon being aggressive was a good thing but it didn't happen when they could have made a difference.

Also, Spurs really settled for too many jumpshots and didn't get enough scoring in the paint.

With Simmons gone, Rudy is the biggest threat to Giant Cranium. Connect the dots
Should of kept Simmons and cut anderson. IMO

This is all about staying afloat, winning the games you are supposed to win, give experience to the youngins and do some early season evaluations on players.
Yeah, but this is who we are, right now. I don't expect much more from the current bunch: Aldridge/Anderson/Green/Pau (after a slow start) have played about as good as as they can. Murray is simply not ready; Joff is not good. Forbes/BP3 are marginal..Mills positively regressing to the mean won't move the needle either. The hope is for Gay to snap out of his funk and provide the scoring punch needed to put Ws in the column-- something which, that early in the season, seemed too good to be true given the severity of the injury he was recovereing from..

So according to that troll who responded, The second unit came in and Turned the ball over too much and made too many mistakes lol
But the second unit played majority of the garbage time... Who had the most turnovers while the game was still a game??
Anderson,Manu and LA. Rewatch the game troll.

nor having young guys who need the experience, or the fact there are guys who are new to the team like Rudy and Joff.
Yea.. I think everyone who needs to get time is getting time, with the exception of Bertans. Holding up well without Kawhi.

I hope LMA realizes that they need Kawhi's help and he isn't happy with the pretty average start despite his #s. We need him all in

You have a good grasp of the current situation.
I mentioned a couple of games ago, when Rudy was already in a bad funk, that I expected Pop to feed him shots to get him going next game but it didn't happen. In fact Rudy continued a free fall with declining play and minutes getting reduced. So having watched him in garbage time, I think Pop needs to reevaluate the bench and see what Rudy needs to play better. Sometimes I think Manu has the ball too much. I know you are a Manu homer, but Pop needs to spare him and worry about Rudy more. Spurs will be better off if someone else (should be Rudy as you say), can take over. If they can't Spurs won't be good enough on many nights anyways.

How will Murray be ready? By sitting on the bench watching Patty mills? How did Tony Parker be ready when he was young? By playing! Get these old washed up players out the way so the young guys can learn

Pop is bringing him along slowly and the right way like he has done with other players in the past. George Hill's first year in SA he only got 16 minutes. Manu's first year in SA he got only 20 minutes. Dejounte is currently getting 20 minutes right now. Last year he was only getting 8 minutes game. He will get even more minutes next year. Dejounte is a lot more raw than what Parker and Hill was when they first came into SA. It's going to take him a little more time to develop than it did with Parker.

"Not having Tony and Kawhi, those are two guys able to score and get us into sets when we need a bucket and need to be more composed," said guard Danny Green, who went scoreless. "Those guys bring that composure and patience and scoring when we can't find a rhythm."

F'ing NBA League Pass doesn't seem to allow scores to be turned off on mobile phone. Watching the game now; but I already know the Spurs lost.

Damn, we went up 17-2 and somehow lost by 17.

We suck in NO. Think it was 2015 when we just had to beat them there for the 2 seed; and we lost and ended up 6-3 vs. the Clips.

Against a younger more athletic team on the road, we really could've used guys like Simmons and Dedmon.

I know... He won't develop playing behind Patty... He is better than Patty right now... Shoot he even had a better series vs the warriors

Spurs always have a tough time down there ... but this game was a beatdown similar to the Orlando debacle a few weeks ago. An extra big body like Dedmon would have been nice, especially if he had absorbed some of the fouls LMA took ...

Thats partly because GS made it a priority to slow him down and threw their best defenders at him.

Joffrey was really bad. He was obviously overmatched. Dedmon would have helped a lot or another defensive big.
