Pelicans ended up taking the Lakers' trash, though the three first round picks is nice.

Spurs got DePression and the 29th pick for the best player in the NBA

It's that time of the season where RC is waking up in the middle of the afternoon probably not knowing what day it is.... so I'm guessing it's not us involved.

I knew this was about to happen as soon as David Griffin became the Pelicans GM and the NBA gifted them the 4th pick smh. Now watch all the ring chasing role players sign with the Lakers

Meh what were the Lakers going to do with those picks anyways? Have they had a draft pick pan out since Van Exel?

What future was Ingram, Ball, and Hart? They got a franchise guy in his prime for the #4 pick, a couple of likely late firsts, and a grab bag of garbage. James + Davis + whoever else they sign with their near max cap slot is going to be a legit contender in a year where the conference (and thus the entire league) is wide open.

It’s so damning of LAs youth that they couldn’t make the playoffs with Bron and swapping them all for just AD makes them le favorites lmao

Man, this trade will be completed July 6th. It shows NO was totally in control. Because of this La will no longer have a max contract available for a third star (at least not a max for vets with certain amount of years of experience). LA will have to convince a star to take a lot less.

If AD doesn’t waive his trade kicker La has 23M in space. If he does they have 28M.

I think so too. I had the same bad feeling Kawhi was ringing after that super lucky bounce to end Philly's season and everyone here told me I was nuts when I posted that Toronto would win it all.

prospects, two garbage picks, and one good pick, as well as a couple of pick swaps that probably aren't all that likely to be exercised.

Lakers tried to trade everybody but Bron to the Spurs. MAGA Pop's hatred for the Lakers blinded him to a good deal. Deported Kiwi against his will. Kiwi rang. Now he might join Bron and LABrow in the last place he wanted Kiwi to go: LA LA Land.

Uncle Fester is a Laker fan.
    Kiwi is a Laker fan.
Kiwi can spend his prime next to AD...or Kiwi could spend his prime with Harrell/Gallo
Kiwi would not have to play 40mpg no mo

Seems like a no brainer to me

Kwitter, kuzma, LeBron and AD would be a pretty a shoe in for the finals if they can stay healthy. Big big if though.

I think you mis-understood. I’m saying LA is a contender now. I’m saying that LA’s youth was so bad that swapping them for one player took them from non-playoff team to contender in one move.

That’s how bad LA youth was.

Just in case you guys misread or haven't seen it. The Lakers want the trade finalised after a certain date so they can have another max contract available. But Pelicans would prefer to deal happening earlier so the number 4 pick, regardless if they keep it or not, then can participate in the summer league. If Pelicans win out of the negotiations, Lakers will have 23mil in cap space, which is well short of a max contract.

Amazing we are seeing the return of Rascal aka the biggest closet Laker fan on here making a return now that the Lakers have gotten Davis.

Russell and Randle would disagree with you. Sometimes, it comes down to coaching and spotlight rather than talent and potential.

Well NO better pray to God that’s true since they gave up a top 5 player for guys that have never looked like they had all-star potential. On top of that, they have injury concerns and other issues.

It’s one thing to trade for Russell and take a chance based on what you gave up; it’s another to give up AD for that type of “hope”.

As of now, them kids suck.
