The spurs always have games like this during the season. They'll bounce back against the hawks on tues.

We would be talking 3 peat right now if Sheed had his brain in the final seconds of game 5. My piston brothers agree with me that we will be champs again they are just giving me cuz they dont want me to "jinx" the team. They feel the same way I do that we ed ourselves over last year and that we will get our le back this year.
"Since I received no answer, had to assume we lost."
JF Christ, do you have internet access?
This is not the place for your thoughts on the Pistons. If you feel the need to be a talker, at least start your own thread in the NBA News Central section.
Show some class, and quit being an ASS.
hey pistons<spurs and jamstone, there is no need to apologize for this guy. you should feel sorry he isn't aware of the past and present tenses of the english language, and how verbs are modified. if he thinks the pistons can be the most dominate team in the nba, who are we to tell him they are not the most DOMINATE team in the nba
we lost a game... we are going to lose more during the season... why are people talking like we're in trouble? gimme a break... so the pistons are off to a great start... that's good for their fans... dallas was off to a great start the year we won the le...
one win and our fans were making plans on the riverwalk... one loss and now we have no confidence... are going to lose homecourt advantage... etc... chill
Manu and TP: 51 pts
Rest of the team: 44 pts
No on switch today, especially for TD.
How many back-to-backs do the Spurs this year?
Oh no Boutons, I checked...see, you took the rest OUT of my response which was "WE WERE SPANKED" basically.
1) o mr or miss obvious...I have internet access else I would not ask the question here
2) Jesus' does not have a middle name.
Hugz,
hussker
Manu is back in the saddle again! It's too bad the Spurs lost, but I was thrilled to see Manu have a great night. This was the confidence booster he needed.
And it was as a kickass fantasy night for me!!!! I have Arenas, Jamison, Manu and Bowen on my team... thanks guys!!!![]()

god that rhymed and that was hilarious ^5 man im glad we are Piston brothers. I love the sense of humer
.
looks like 11 more this season.
A little early in the year to start celebrating.
We had some sorry games last year also, but we did win the le.
We've won two of the last three.
This if only stuff is a fascinating conjecture (if Tim had been healthy we would have won in 5 games). The fact is above.
It appears to be your theory that the team with the best record in the regular season will win the le. So, let's see if there are any counterexamples. Let's try last year. Did a counterexample come to your mind? Now, of course, one may object by saying that the Pistons have not obtained the best record in the league during the regular season. This is a valid point since it is quite possible that when the Pistons play some good teams on the road, they will lose.
Now, your view that the Mavs will get to the playoffs might be true. On the other hand, it might not.
In the Tim Duncan era, how many times have the Mavs beaten the Spurs in the playoffs?
It appears to make sense that there is probably a reason why in the Tim Duncan era: SA has won 3 les, Detroit 1 and Mavs 0, the Spurs have the highest winning percentage of any team in the four major professional sports.
They don't have anybody playing for them who has been MVP of the regular season or of the Finals. Perhaps this explains why no objective, respected basketball analyst agrees with the proposition that (1) the Spurs won't make the playoffs or (2) that the Mavs will win against the Spurs in the playoffs.
You are either extremely stupid or you are saying some things that you know are false.
There are a couple of rules, which in the modern era normally hold.
There is the high low rule. In order to be high up on the list of best teams, you have to be able to score down low. There is the Jordan exception whereby if you happen to have the best player to ever play the game, you can win anyway. Mavs don't understand this rule and therefore, at least partly as a consequence, have not won a le.
There is the two man rule, whereby to win it all, you normally have to have at least two star players. If you have 5 solid players (like the Pistons), you can overcome this rule. However, normally the rule holds. Mavs don't follow this rule either.
A third principle which normally applies is that a team must be good defensively in order to win a le. Alice does not play D.
Anybody who represents the less than 1 % of the basketball literate population who thinks that Alice is better than the Spurs and will beat the Spurs in the playoffs has already demonstrated their ignorance of basketball and its fundamental rules.
You have discredited yourself by writing something quite obviously false. Therefore, your credibility is reduced in your other statements.
Let's see if we can get some commitments out of you (if you really believe what you are saying this should not be a problem).
(1) you think that the Mavs are better than the Spurs
(2) you think that the Mavs will beat the Spurs
(3) you think that the Pistons will win 67 games this year at a minimum
(4) you think that the chances of the Spurs making it out of the West are less than 50-50
(5) the Pistons will have the best record in the league this year.
(6) Every time that a team has the best record in November, they have won the championship
(7) You can name a bunch of respected, objective basketball analysts believe propositions 1,2 and 4
BTW, I'll remind you that there are a lot of teams who have significant injuries affecting them.
Manu is still recovering. You do remember what he did to you all, games 1,2 and 7.
Finley and Barry are also out.
Tim had a very bad game tonight, which is atypical unless he is injured (as he was through out the playoffs- as Hubie Brown repeatedly informed us- they would not get healthy until he rested them all summer).
Do, remember we have won 3 les in the last 7 years. Pistons have won exactly 1. Our winning percentage in the Tim Duncan era (which we are in) is greater than yours. Having the best record in November does not mean that you will have the best record in the regular season, which likewise does not mean that you will win the le or even by favorites for it. Spurs started slow in 99 and 03. We won the le both times. Nobody who knows basketball places the kind of weight you do about one's performance in November, especially given injury and rotation issues...
come back in June.
Spurs 3 Pistons 1. November is for fools like you. We celebrate when we win a championship in June. You are celebrating in November.
Spurschick---that worship altar you had for Ginobili must have done the trick. He had an excellent game. But he needs to shoot more. He only had 12 attempts.
Duncan was not the Big Fundamental tonite. I don't think I have seen a worse shooting game from TD.
Parker is talking too many shots.
Whoosh ! Play of the night!
Rasho is![]()

You stupid son of a we won back to back in 89 and 90 so it is 3-3 you ing moron. God you wrote that piece of paragraph and could not even get an accurate fact about my teams history
.
Did I mention Rasho's all star caliber dunk?![]()
Fear the Sho!
Um, I believe that 3 times IN THE LAST 7 YEARS and again with THE TIM DUNCAN ERA were reference points that your dumb ass failed to recognize.
But way to live up to the stereotypical image of the drunk Piston fan getting dropped on the court by JO.
Can you not read???
He Said:
They are in what many people have led as a DYNASTY period. He is talking about the current era of Spurs basketball. Let's not bring up games from 16-17 years ago.Do, remember we have won 3 les in the last 7 years. Pistons have won exactly 1.
Quit making yourself look so foolish.
BTW,
as Pistons<Spurs can attest, a lot of us have been saying that the Pistons are currently playing better than any other team. In fact, I pick them to win the East. It is quite obvious that the Pistons are playing much better than the Spurs, no doubt about it and I have no problem admitting it.
I have also said that I think that the Piston's defense is at least as good as ours and maybe better.
The Pistons have as much of a chance as the Spurs and the Pacers to win it all and better than the Heat and the Rockets.
I have no problem giving the Pistons their due. On the otherhand, being obnoxious in November is stupid. After we won it all, I didn't go over to Pistons sites and start acting like a punk like you are. And that was after we won it all (not just the best record in November).
It's an 82 game season, hoss.
What I would like to know (and perhaps Pistons < Spurs and some others of us) is will you be back here if the Pistons don't win it all and/or start losing some regular season games.
Most teams go up and down. A lot of teams have injury problems come up.
Teams' records in November have a tendency to change as we progress throughout the year. Were the Pistons in 2004 undefeated in November? Did they have the best record that year or was it the Pacers? Did the Pacers win it all? Suns win it all in 2005? Were we undefeated in November last year?
Don't be saying things that you will be thrown back in your face.
If you win with class, then when you don't win (and nobody wins all the time- not even the Patriots or the Spurs), people will still show some respect for you and not run you down.
The posters I have seen here don't capriciously slam other teams here (unless some troll punk like you starts it). What one says reflects one's character. Yours has become quite apparent unlike some of the other Pistons fans who post here I might add. They are able to contribute something of value instead of saying inflamatory things which very few people believe just for shock value. You belong in the class of those people who hold to the flat earth theory (with your Mavs > Spurs garbage).
You are the idiot. I am talking about in the Tim Duncan era.
It might be a little more relevant or are Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Bill and Dennis going to play for you?
