I never thought anything would top 1999 but 2014 definitely did after how bitter a loss 2013 was. 2013 made 1995 and 2001 seem like nothing.
If the NBA schedulers did this correctly, the Spurs would open the season against either the Nuggets, the Lakers or the Clippers. Wembanyama’s debut would be set on an epic stage. I remember Robinson’s debut was against Magic’s Showtime Lakers and The Admiral did not disappoint.
Does anyone know why they took that down for some days...after reupping it, it's 15 seconds longer. When it disappeared, I thought there might have been a problem with one of the conspiracy storys (Danny,...), but since it's even longer, that might not be the case.
I have the old version downloaded but am to lazy to run them next to each other. If you don't know as well, I might have to do it just for couriosity.

I ran the two next to each other and found it. They added the clarification at 3:15 (which is not in the original one)...and a little later...someone seems to have skrewed of the timeline between '78 and '79 and they realized.
Once again, the fool(s) putting this together overemphasize the importance of S bag while largely ignoring the franchise GOAT.
No footage/mention of him carrying the team in overtime of game 3 of the WCF to effectively end the series, nor his 25 point 1st half in game 6 of the Finals, but of course multiple replays of the missed layup over Battier.
One takeaway from “13” and “2014 Championship” is how I came away from these episodes with a much increased level of respect for Chris Bosh. That dude is extremely likable.
Seeing Ray Allen’s 3 replayed every single year during the intro for every playoff game is annoying tbh, and they’ll be showing that until the NBA seizes to exist unfortunately. But whatever. 2014 was ing legendary.

Was at the game where Barkley shut down the Hemisphere… I remember vividly how amazing the crowd was and how silent it got when Chuckles hit that shot…

I was SOOOO hyped up...and then Ray Allen's shot happened, and then overtime happened and I went catatonic. I think I said the word " ." about 1000 times over the next couple hours. I had no other words to say.
2014 was the best basketball I have ever seen and also the best coaching job in NBA history. Just legendary
the spurs generally from 2012-2014 were playing at an incredibly high level. they came back with a vengeance after the 2011 memphis debacle. timmy in particular. thought the wheels had fallen off after that series, but he got slimmer and found the fountain of youth. sucks they only came away with 1 ring in that stretch. 12 and 13 was still mostly MVParker stuff, but that was the beginning of the beautiful game imo
2012 playoffs began with 2 sweeps then a 2-0 lead on OKC
2013 was quite literally the closest a team has gotten to winning a ship without winning it
2014 finals was the magnum opus
I'll never be proud about it, but let's just say I had to buy a new TV after that loss.. What a heart breaker end to the season.
It was weird to me, because the series was such a grind that I literally had not thought about the Spurs ringing until that timeout, and so I only had a few minutes to consider it before Pop didn't put Duncan out there to get the rebound. I sort of knew that was their only chance to win it. I never expected them to win game 7. .4 and Juwan's flagrant were far more devastating to me as moments, and 2006 was my worst experience as a Spurs fan.
