I gave up on any sort of real change RE gun control legislation after sandy hook. Too many gun cultists in this country.

That being said I hope Trump takes old Dr. Oz supporting ass out of politics. He also isn't qualified. We need a combination of competence and ruthlessness.
Republicans entertain the same nonsensical logic as the left does with guns on other issues. Example: the big push against flavored e-cigarettes during Trump's term. They have no principles. Therefore they will eventually cave.
I am convinced there will be no meaningful gun control laws, but that the left will say whatever bill passes is meaningful because they are either dishonest or ignorant, not sure which is worse.
