It kinda was in 2007. Mavs were eliminated round 1, and the Spurs only “drama” was against the Suns. Then got the ing Jazz/Cavs to wrap up a 16-4 playoff run.

The 07 Suns would run away with the le in this league. That was a really good team that probably only lost because of the Stoudemire and Diaw suspensions for Game 5. I got real 2011 Spurs vibes from that 2007 Mavs team, they really looked like they were falling off by the end of the season. Not as drastically as the 2011 Spurs did, but it looked like they were killing themselves for that 67 win record after how disappointing their 2006 loss was and started running out of gas by the end. That team looked so tired in the Golden State series.
