Again, Jones is a very nice player but in today NBA you can’t have guys that are so bad from the outside. If he doesn’t improve his shot he’ll be out of the league at the end of this contract
    mismanagement

spurs have known for years that he cant shoot 3’s

yet they rewarded his ty shooting with an extension $$

    Wemby is ing unbelievable

If the Spurs screw this up, they need to be relegated to the WNBA tbh.

I would be crushed if Wemby decided to leave but I wouldn't blame him one bit if he has to deal with this mess.

Saw the stadium home feed, not the TNT game feed. Which was focused on the Spurs bench every break. And Wemby looked frustrated as on the sideline. Pop wasn't even involved in drawing up the final play...an assistant did it. Wemby grabbed the Board from the assistant, forcibly, and re-drew a play.

The fact Pop wasn't involved and Wemby got animated...Wow. Just Wow.
Damn. Wonder if we're ever going to get that video. Wonder how long we're going to keep him around.

If Wemby leaves, Wright would need to be fired, i'm assuming Pop would be history by then.

Only got to listen to the radio, and missed the 3rd and the first half of the 4th, but sounds like it was a good compe ive game! One data point not enough to draw conclusions, but I'll be watching the +/- with Tre as a starter versus the other mutilated lineup combinations we've been throwing out there.

What fantastic game and effort by spurs.

Took 2 Giannis threes , spurs missing 2 wide open threes to lose this game.

Vassell, Wemby and Johnson all played standout game's. Still required a total team effort. Jones and osman were key contributors. Barlow played well too. When he got injured Giannes teally took advantge of the soft middle.

I'd consider the season a wash if Devin played even at 75% of what we saw tonight tbh. I don't understand why he doesn't attack the cup more, he's crafty down there.

You guys are so pathetic fearing he will leave as soon as he can. This is not who he is, he knows the team isn’t in a winning mode this season. Stop saying such bull …

Spurs survive the 3Q collapse trend in a big way tonight

Wemby went nuclear, Dev was on fire, even KJ contributed

SA slowly getting better, tonight was very promising and the future looks bright

End of his rookie contract is long enough to see if the Spurs are capable of putting a team capable to compete. He doesn't look like the guy who will be happy with a huge paycheck if he keeps losing.

Yes Barlow really broke out tonight and showed it all. Blocked Giannis at the rim, does a bit of everything, rim protection, mid range jumper, steals, great screens. Looking like an excellent small ball center at what, age 20?

The team and Pop may not be in winning mode but if you have been paying attention to Wemby lately he is.

Agreed, Dev needs to play like tonight more consistently but I believe that is coming

Just crazy he will play like this and then disappear

I think they will put a better team around Wemby, start winning more, and Pop will retire all around the time Wemby is deciding to re up or not. I think it will largely depend on how much he likes the city, and he will be glad for the experience of playing for Pop even if it had its share of hiccups.

What is the Barlow injury report?

And anyone see why Middleton left at the half?

Hope Barlow gets back quickly, could be a silver lining to an abysmal season to get him leveled up

Barlow was probable and I thought did return briefly. Middleton was scripted to only play first half, injury return management or some such.

No one said they needed to be a playoff team. But I don’t think being 5-29 was part of the team’s plan even though the sniffers can spin all the BS they want about them doing it to tank for a PG in the next draft. I think even they didn’t expect to be as bad they are. And what is there to be optimistic about when our only good draft picks of the last few years have been Wemby and Vassell. Should we even trust this front office to make good draft picks anymore?

Just because Wemby is a nice guy doesn’t mean he won’t leave if the team doesn’t surround him with good players. we almost lost Timmy to Orlando . Pop ing around with his minutes restrictions like he’s Tim Duncan also isn’t helping with morale. You don’t need “get over yourself” moments when your team only has 5 wins.

It’s funny because early in the game they had Sochan guarding Giannis and I was like no way in the world get Barlow in there. He would be a perfect matchup and I was actually right for a change.

This. The team we saw tonight could be compe ive in every game and, with a season or two of seasoning, could be something. If they’re not bringing it consistently like this, that has to be a mental problem on the part of people like Devin and Keldon. The one thing they can control is their energy level. Devin takes games off and doesn’t consistently attack the rim like he did tonight.

My prayer to Allah is that this loss teaches them something about what they could be if they played like tonight consistently. Too bad Allah doesn’t exist.

There is little point to fretting and of course the team record is an unexpected disaster. But, it is what it is as they say. You are either NBA champs or not and nobody expected that. We do need to hit on some draft picks, no doubt, and upgrade with a couple quality vets.

My vote is draft Bronny James then bring in his dad to play with him too.
