They won't

If Denver matches that offer, it'll be an early Christmas present. Then they can use that $3M and go out and get a real NBA player.
They won't

ELSON WAITS: The agent for restricted free agent center Francisco Elson said he plans to talk with Warkentien today about the future of his client.
Calvin Andrews, who also represents Anthony, is hoping to learn more about whether the Nuggets intend to match a two-year, $6 million offer sheet Elson received from San Antonio.
It is doubtful Andrews or Elson will learn much.
Warkentien reiterated Tuesday a decision about Elson likely will come at the "11th hour." The Nuggets have until Thursday to decide whether to retain Elson or let him sign with the Spurs.

Let Frankie go! Let him get his wish and get more minutes in San Antonio!![]()
One more day...dum dum DUMMMMMM.
Sometimes I feel like Timvp just says stuff to get people worked up and post more.
Like just about anybody not named Francisco Elson.
Yeah I was about to start a thread about RC and Pop being gay ... but you beat me to it.

You're hilarious sometimes, Timvp.

Good strategy, guy.
Maybe we can bring Will Perdue out of retirement.
I don't really see that no contact with the agent means they won't match- that was Tuesday and they have until Thursday. I just have this notion that a team might match just so the Spurs don't get who they want.
I can't see the Nuggets doing that. Especially with a spare like Elson.
DENVER — Nuggets power forward Nene signed a six-year, $60 million contract Thursday, joining Carmelo Anthony in deciding Denver was the place to pursue their championship dreams.
The Nuggets called an afternoon news conference with Nene, coach George Karl and director of player personnel Mark Warkentien to discuss the deal, which was agreed to earlier this month while Nene was on his honeymoon in his native Brazil.
this really has nothing to do with francisco elson
Technically, no. However, they may include something on Elson. May is the key word. Why not kill two birds with one stone?
And since a lot of people are on pins and needles about what the Nuggets are doing today, I thought it might bring some interest.
I for one, appreciate the update Spurschick. They may announce something about Elson too at that press conference.
It suggests there isn't a K-Mart trade going down today, meaning that's still in limbo. Slightly more suggestion Martin is still a Nugget next year, but Elson is not.
Wow, you can tell it's been a slow offseason thus far when people are excited about possibly getting Elson![]()
Actually most people are excited about NOT getting him and praying that the Nuggets match.
What do u want happening? And then what happens afttttttttttter that?
Well then that makes much more sense.
I hope the Nuggets match. Then the Spurs should just spend the rest of the MLE on the best man available, whether it's a center or an athletic forward.
