There's been ten page blogs for all the pre season games. Are you trying to get a rise out of Spurs fans?![]()
not as cute as watching dallas lose, regardless of the situation being preseason
you guys looked LOST out there
also, what's up with TD, 4-12??
not that he isn't allowed to have an off game, but was it just one of those nights or was he......well i guess i can't say defended well cuz dallas lost any semblence to Defense they had from last season but you know what I mean

I'm a member at mavtalk. His post suck.
I would hope that he gets his bank backl, last year he missed it alot, and this game he missed some.
Every little comment from a mavs fan gets a rise out of Spurs fan most of the time.
You're damn right our guys looked lost. When we have Stack and four newbies go up against Manu, Horry, Barry and two newbies then I expect we will look lost. Starters from both teams had similar minutes but we rarely played two main guys at a time. JHO played well and Harris doesn't look completely recovered from his hamstring injury but anyway, it's a pre-season and I'm really looking forward to next week's game. The one good thing about this game is that hopefully it will give some Spurs newbies a big head going into next week's game.
That's okay cause I doubt many of the newbies will play
good points
I def. look forward to next week's matchup!
I can see Elson and Vaughn playing, they look pretty good.
Its just a clue as to how hungry this board is to start the season, as T6M said, all pre-season blogs are this large... nothing special.
Besides that, I think Mavs fans on this board should take it as a show of respect how much Spurs fans talk about Dallas and quit being asses about everything a Spurs fan says against Dallas. This is a Spurs board after all, if you guys would just chill the out and quit circle-jerking eachother about your team every chance you get maybe you should recognize where you are posting and show some humility, maybe then you would see some respect returned to you... Detroit/Kings fans caught onto that pretty quickly. This isnt a Lakers board afterall![]()
I have to say though, you are definately one of the better Dallas posters here.
P.S. Props to Dirk4mvp... he wasnt as much of a jackass in this thread as in previous ones... though not by muchYou earned a few points.

Elson looks crap, Williams looks like A BEAST--lets keep him fat and try to make him quicker and he'll come in handy.
Beno looks crap.
Vaughn looks good--we were okay with mike wilks, a fragile speedy claxton, vaughn will do us good imo.
I know it was a preseason game and doesn't count but I was looking at certain players and how they looked more than whether we won or lost.
How nice was it to see a center out there for the Spurs? I thought Elson did a damn good job and it was against a team that matters. Will it carry over is what counts.
Butler looks way out of shape but the potential is there. Not sure if we should expect anything from him this season. Not before the all-start break anyhow.
Barry looked very active out there. Where was that last season? No hesitancy whatsoever.
Vaughn and Beno were very impressive. It was so nice to see the Spurs pg's (not named Parker) torching the Mavs guards and not the other way around.
Bonner looks very lost. He hustles no doubt and the shot should come around but he had some good looks tonight and missed them.
Maybe it was because I was expecting nothing that Williams was a rather nice surprise to me. He's so overweight and had plenty of errors but he just might provide some solid spot minutes as the season goes on.
-------------am i the only one who thought it was pathetic that pop blatantly played his starters in an effort to win this game no matter what, as if it actually meant something??
Eventually Avery was like " this Ah'ma save mah startahs..."
pretty lame game, spurs are ed until this butler fellah comes along in about three years.
Then when he gets good we can send him to europe and never bring him back.
You kind of contradicted yourself there by saying that "Mavs fans on this board should take it as a show of respect how much Spurs fans talk about Dallas" and then later saying "maybe then you would see some respect returned to you." Why show humility? It's a freakin' sport, there is smack-talking, many Spurs fans have just as much fun as Mavs fans dishing out the smack. What's the point of getting excited about the season if you can't have fun and cheer your team? You must be that ref who called that technical on Elson tonight (ridiculous technical).
Sigh, now look what you did. I have to edit because you said something nice. Haha, just kidding, I like talking smack but I don't get all offensive, in your face, cussing and all, that's ridiculous. I enjoy talking to lots of the Spurs fans on the board.
I guess I will have to go back and look but I could have sworn pop was playing 2nd and 3rd's alot more then Dallas was for the first half...
Can you post minutes?
I missed the first quarter but looks like the minutes for starters on both teams were about even, I checked the boxscore. The only difference I noticed though is that Pop played multiple starters at the same time whereas Avery spread them out among the newbies a lot more.
I was talking in general for the board, not just this blog. I agree its a sport and there SHOULD be some smack-talk between us but I have just got this feeling from mav fans that no matter what another fan says the Mavs are right and thats it, no question... and when its proven alot of them change the subject to suit their needs.
And no, I wasnt the ref that called the foul on Elson... Im a Spurs fan... Im the guy that called the foul on Stackhouse.![]()
----i am not talking about total minutes, im talking about the length of time until we played nothing but scrubs
pop kept manu and timmy out there longer than avery had dirk and howard, if i recall correctly
Que?
Spurs starters played less than Mavs starters.
You might be right, but I dont think it was any more minutes then the Dallas starters played.... watching the game again right now to see a few more things I was questioning.. I will look at that also after the half.
okay so i guess im wrong it seemed like the mavs starters were pussyfooting so much until spurs starters left then they were on the bench too
thats what I thought too but Im watching again to see how much *further* into the game the starters played.
who actually watched this game? i was at my HS football game. do you guys not live in Texas?
