I wasn't trying to put any team down (unless it's the kings just to piss fillmoe off). But Spur fans come in and talk about mavs choke job all the time and take the defensive with the 3 rings talk. Nobody wants to hear that just as much as nobody wants to hear mavs fans spouting off about us being 07 champs in february.

Well, it's pretty easy to dicern troll/unintelligent Spurs fans from the good ones. If you'd notice almost all Spurs fans are giving the Mavs mad props this season and stating that they will probably win it all this season.


And sorry to say, but the Mavs did choke last Finals. Bottom line. It happens, it was your first time in the Finals and they had a tough series against SA and the Suns to get through. No one said winning a championship was easy. And of course Spurs fans are going to prop their team's THREE rings. If the Mavs win one, you'll understand how hard and rare it is for a team to win a championship in this league. A LOT of things have to go your way. Just because you have the talent and coach doesn't mean . You need lucky shots to bounce your way, you need a leader and go-to guy to step up, and you need to make plays when it matters most. Mavs didn't have any of those things in the final 4 games of the Finals last season, hence the loss.


Either way, Mavs are looking damn good right now and if my beloved Spurs don't make a trade anytime soon, I don't see anyone stopping the Mavs from winning it all this season.

and yet they could never repeat the next year...my point, is that nobody wrote the spurs off during the in-between years when the spurs failed to win BTBs...the mavs have not let up this season, there is no reason to believe that they'll choke again and get swept, just like there was no reason to believe that even though the spurs got swept by the lakers, they were done for...i wasn't dissing the spurs so much as saying that using one series to predict what will happen in the future (as mavs haters are so fond of doing) is stupid...there are dumbass mavs fans too that like to tout records so i'm not arguing with that, i'm just pointing out the fallacy of your argument

I agree with you but there are several (NOT all) Spurs fans saying that the Mavs don't have what it takes because they choked last season, thus implying that this is the reason they won't ever win a championship. They might not win for lots of reasons including injuries, getting beaten by another good team, but it won't be because they choked.
