Pop is smart by resting his guys. This is what championship teams do. It's not about win total. Congrats Spurs on the 25-6 record to end the season since beginning only 33-18. SA made asses out of a lot of doubters who said they would drop to 6th place below Houston and LA. Some people don't realize how great this team has been playing..up until the Crawford Duncan fiasco, they were playing 25-3 basketball.

The only reason they played Duncan, Ginobili and Parker against Dallas was the chance of catching the #2 seed. Once they lost to Dallas, it's wise to rest your starters in the last two meaningless games. Why have them play and risk injuring them? Only inexperienced attention hungry teams do that.
Starting in 2002-2003 they've been 60-22, 57-25, 59-23, and 63-13. So this season is 58-24. Nothing bad about that.
