i didn't realize that engaging in "point - counterpoint" was trolling unless it's two Spurs fans agreeing about how the Mavericks get the benefit of everything.

now i know. and knowing is half the battle.

Davis was TRYING to get tossed out. If he were completely candid, he would admit it. You're trying to defend conduct simply because it benefited the Mavs. Leaders don't quit on their teams and get thrown out because they're frustrated and things aren't going their way. Dallas was packing the paint with the bigs and grinding the Warriors down, forcing them to start settling for pull up jumpers instead of going to the hoop. On the other end of the court, the Mavs were being the aggressors and exploiting the lack of interior D for GS. I think Davis either lost his cool or realized his team was destined to lose and decided to get some rest for his knees to be ready for tomorrow night. If you'd stop being such a homer, you'd realize that.

This is about fun. Some people derive joy out of being obnoxious and pissing people off. Be content that you're not one of those people and just enjoy the discussion with those that you like talking with.
    Thanks I will.

Were you at the game, TPark? I'll ask that because I was and saw the whole thing go down first-hand. Davis and Nelson were warned. At least they got that benefit. Duncan didn't even get that much. Baron could have done the right thing and halted it there, but he felt the need to make a point and was ejected as a result.

You're coming from the wholly anti-Mavs viewpoint and wouldn't DARE see it from just an observer's position. It must also mean nothing to you that no one from the Warriors is complaining about this. They've taken their medicine and moving on to the next game. I don't know why you're defending someone that's admitted their guilt.

But it's funny that you and others would think that Davis is just some little angel in this whole thing. He was barking at the refs (all of them) and complaining almost constantly. The Mavs are a good team and their play last night was obviously frustrating the Second Coming in Baron Davis. He couldn't hang, he flipped out and was tossed. Period. End of story. Dallas would have won that game, regardless.

I can't even imagine what you'd have to say about the Jackson ejection.

Baron certainly knew that an ejection was a possible consequence of his actions. His night was basically over at that point anyway, because he'd just picked up his 5th personal in the late 3rd quarter and already had a somewhat dubious T on top of that.

I agree with the notion that the Warriors inexperience and lack of composure is likely to play a key role in their demise in this series. They're somewhat reminiscent (to me at least) of the Denver team that the Spurs played in 2005. Lots of young players with limited playoff experience gets a huge road win in Game 1 against a prohibitive favorite and then gets swept up in the emotions of the playoffs without any real poise to persevere. Like that series, I'd expect the Mavericks to take a huge punch early in Game 3 as the Warriors respond to their home crowd, which will undoubtedly be amped for that game. Still, like the Spurs did in 2005, the Mavericks ability to execute in key moments and their calm in hostile environments like the one they'll face in Oakland over the weekend should give the Mavericks a chance to put their foot on the Warriors' throats and seize control of the series again.

Jackson shouldn't have been ejected in the first place, because his firts technical was complete bull .

Now your bagging on baron Davis "he couldn't hang"

They both probably desereved to get ejected, but that doesnt change a lot of the horrible calls the Mavs were getting. The reason they got so frustrated was the horrible officiating

So do you have anything to rebut regarding my analysis of why and how Davis got tossed and what Dallas was doing defensively to frustrate and stymie the Warriors?

A homer is somebody that makes disengenuous arguments devoid of logic or reason because he wants to argue against or for something. Division rivalry and so forth, a homer Spurs fan would not want to credit Dallas for playing well or criticize Mavs opponents for playing poorly...You can about the officiating last night all you want, but the Warriors did not play well and they didnt do enough to win. Your team won last night, we're not even on the same side of the bracket, and it's far from certain our teams will meet in the conference finals. Warriors/Rockets and Nuggets/Suns is a hard path for both squads. Are you going to lose your over the next 15 Dallas wins?

Like you and your circle jerk partner leonard.

It's absolutely hilarious how Spurs fans are trying to defend Davis...

Go back and look at the final minute of the 3rd quarter. Davis already had a technical, so he knew they wouldn’t eject him, right? So, he fouls Josh Howard and yells right in the face of a ref who looks the other way. He fouls Jerry Stackhouse, and screams when called for the foul. He then stands and claps at the ref for no fewer than 10 seconds. He was warned, and his coach told him to knock it off, too. And people think the ref got carried away?

Thank you for your kind words. It's good to be able to converse with rational, intelligent posters. Can you point to where I personally have told you what to do? I believe YOU just told ME what to do. So pot, meet kettle. Although I'm not the kettle you're looking for.

The registration policy allows for non-Spurs fans to post. Each team's fanbase has a shallow pool for the kiddies. Perhaps you're just splashing water and urinating with your mirror image?
Considering your posts in the NBA forum, I don't really think you have any room to talk when it comes to being rational and intelligent.

Spare me the ivory tower crap.

Hey, Salvatore was involved...both teams had some bad calls go against them. Refs are human. Dallas played well defensively and did a good job of exploiting the Warrior's lack of interior defense. That frustration accounts for their meltdown.

It wasn't the "ejections" it was the stupid T before the ejection, PLUS all the bull calls in the 4th itself!!!!

Refs are human, but Ive never so many horrible calls in one game. Im not saying its the reason the Mavs won, but it sure helped. The Spurs got some officiating their way too last night, at least I can admit it.

Take your own advice. You're one of the biggest homers on here. I can criticize my team and give credit to the other squad when the Mavs lose. We deserved to lose Game One because of a crappy gameplan and poor execution. And we won last night because we executed better. Didn't you start a thread and spew profanity over a game that your team wasn't involved with? We're not on the same side of the bracket, you worry about Spurs-Nuggets and I'll worry about Mavs-Warriors. I don't see Mavs fans posting dozens of threads screaming about the Nuggets getting jobbed.

If you get a stupid technical in a Playoff game, you should keep your mouth shut so you don't get another one.

That's what separates professionals from dunces.
