Melo already with over half of his average in this series in the 1st.
Lucky to be down only 7 right now, when Timmy gets back in he needs to be aggressive and get going.
Melo already with over half of his average in this series in the 1st.
all started with manu not using the backboard with his shot
eeesh...this lineup sux
Is it me or is Manus passing like tonight? He makes some attempt to drive and all of his passes are off the mark, taking the receiver out of their ryhthm and the entire offense.
He really needs to tighten it up, or this isn't going to be a winnable game. Unless Duncan and Parker flat out dominate.
Once that emotion wears off in the 2nd qtr I think the Spurs start taking over the game. Denver is just feeding off the quick start but things always settle down and they go into their lulls.
down by 7
Pop shouldn't of had that lineup in there at the end of the 1st... bad move
Ginobili is dishing nice assists but he must be more agressive and either score near the rim or draw fouls
well, down 20-27 with Duncan having scored 0 is not bad actually. Our highest scorer right now is Elson, so I think we'll be fine.
Duncan will find his shot. He often starts games off slow, like he often starts seasons slow.
I'd be curious to see what the run figures were once Vaughn entered the game. He looked great in Game 1, can't figure out why it isn't working now.
Come to think of it, even then Iverson went off...so...
Elson is the leading scorer after the 1st quarter with 6 pts. WTF![]()
Nuggs dictating tempo, they make us bring the ball upcourt faster than we want.
Our team won't notch up tempo till late in 2nd so they need to hang closeby and make a push late in 2nd before half.
Nobody's hitting nothing yet, you want better shot selection/passing
DUNCAN DID NOT SCORE IN the first
7 assist on 9 of their field goals
Denver probably can't play any better and spurs are only down 7.
TP might need to play the rest of the way to keep the D tight.
Hilarious how both Elson and FIN shift away from Melo and allow him to dunk the ball.
Time to get Bowen back on Melo.
Hopefully Pop slapped some sense into them. We can't go down like this...at least make it interesting.
The rotations on defense are either slow or completely wrong right now, this started out as a good defensive performance, but as soon as Parker sat Iverson started hitting the lane and Finley was left alone on Anthony. Parker is going to be huge on Iverson in this series if the Spurs are to win this game and take this one in 5. 1st quarter surge to be expected from the home team in this situation, but the 2nd needs to belong to the Spurs. If they can get a lead and keep it, the Nuggets will start to press and the horrible shot selection will follow as the game gets shorter.
Duncan looks like right now. He really better start hitting the boards harder. I'm sick of seeing his feet planted to the floor waiting for the rebound to come to him.
I'm having flashbacks to game three. Big three combined for 7 points so far. Thankfully it's not from blowing layups, but they need to get their together or just call it a night.
No matter how much time I spend away from the game blogs, ducks is stll ducks![]()
hopefully the D will show up before Melo breaks the 30 pt. barrier.
