Are you kidding me? Dam straight I am scared! As far as I was concerned, after the Mavs were eliminated, I thought the Spurs were a shoe-in for the championship, uncontested, door wide open, barring the assassination of Timmay or something. Pistons could have handled just about any other team coming out of the west, sans Utah. But after seeing this Utah team the past few games, they have shown the style of play necessary to compete with the Spurs, and at the very least show the Spurs a challenge.
Cavs don't scare me. The Bulls worry me more than the Cavs do, and the Pistons are up 2 games to none... The Pistons got extremely lucky that they didn't have to face Shaq in the playoffs.
dang this game was good and fun to watch. both teams played hard, baron started getting feisty and picked up a tech when they were down, ak47 was awesome with the blocks, j-rich kept throwing down the 3s and derek fisher, the build up and drama from his return was entertaining, showing him in the building, coming out of the tunnel, etc. i was wrong about utah, they are playing very good ball, props to them, they are playing the right D to put that small ball six feet under. kind of feel bad for monta ellis, not having even a mediocre playoff season, too much pressure after winning his award maybe?
I felt bad for Monte Ellis too, after the camera stayed on him when he got benched. Whenever he's in, it looks like he's trying too hard.
Anyway, I think all those regular season awards have been some sort of noticeable jinx, hex or curse for this particular season... (keeps mouth shut about the biggest award out of the lot)
I know he's cool, it was a joke from the last game thread.
already flip flopped?
