Better yet, imagine the summer team without Butler on it....
The ONLY, and I mean the only way this front office redeems itself is by signing someone like Pietrus or Barnes.
But that would put Holt back over the tax threshold, so no shot in of it happening.
If that were the case, the Spurs should have just called his bluff. If he extends his European contract, the Spurs are out a second round pick.
If the Spurs got desperate because they thought that they might be out a *gasp* 2009 Rockets second round pick, that makes it an even more disgraceful trade.
.....or by some more Western boots and copiers with the extra cash saved.
Deciphering is easy...
Making sense of the ing thing is what's NOT!
Barbosa Mistake Part 2
BARBOSA MISTAKE PART 2. mark it.
Nobody Buy/rent/consider Anything From Cat
Time for some single malt scotch.
The sense is that Holt does have an impact on personnel decisions. Where are those who applaud when the Spurs make dumb basketball moves due to financial concerns?
and the second pick from rockets!
that I've been hitting some Crown already.
....and to trade your only low-post assets outside of Duncan to a DIVISION RIVAL...I'm not one to cuss, but this ing sucks.
What kind of a sallery did Scola demand from he Spurs?
And how much are spurs willing to pay?
Would you be suprised if the Rockets pay him somewhere around the MLE
Man if it was Friday....
But seeing as how I live in Georgia and my boss has no affinity for the Spurs whatsoever (from Colorado originally), there's no way he'll take "THEY TRADED JACKIE & LUIS!" as an excuse for coming in late and hungover a .
Even if you accept that the Spurs felt the need to trade them, GET SOMETHING BACK. A first-round pick would have at least held out hope of getting future quality. But this management only sees first-round picks as future guaranteed contracts.
Don't worry about using the 2009 pick. Rockets will be a top 5-6 team, so we'll turn that #56 pick right around for a future pick from the Washington Wizards, then in the 2010 draft select Marcus Williams' smaller brother.
The Rockets aspect is just salt on the wound. If this were say the Bobcats, we could say that the Spurs were doing Scola and Butler a favor and how they'll get to play and thrive over in the East.
But instead, it's to the one franchise in the NBA who the Spurs have never gotten revenge on. The one franchise down the road who gave the Spurs two of their most bitter defeats in history.
I still can't even begin to understand this.
I've already polished off a third of a bottle of Patron.
I'd prefer a 2nd rounder from Chicago.
The one franchise who gave the Spurs their new assistant general manager.
More like Josh Howard mistake part 2....F-- Barbosa, that freaking choke artist against a good defense like the Spurs, at least Howard makes us pay for not taking him.
BTW, This move sucks.
