Psychology is crap. You either understand people or you don't, and if it doesn't come naturally then you have no business trying to tell other people how to fix problems you can't fathom. Classes teach technique, but if you don't have the fundamentals then it doesn't matter. Social re s need not apply.

That's very true... my ex is a psychology major and is a couple of semesters away from getting her degree... but when we were together all our friends would ask me for advice and help.

And getting an undergraduate degree in psychology is learning the basics, the theory, not the practice. Practice and technique comes with experience. And having a degree in psychology does not automatically make you a shrink. I could research neuropsychological disorders related to brain injury, and animal psychology, like training, and the psychological effects of drugs.

Just because there's a program for it does not make it important or difficult or valid. You can get a BA in "Recreation", that doesn't mean you need a degree to learn how to play soccer.
You can get a university degree in Storytelling, too. That sounds about as re ed as animal psychology.

The APA wouldn't acredidate the program if it wasn't valid. Psychological testing is very maticulous science. And it is a science. It's a social science, just like history. My whole thing is that if y'all don't want to believe in Psychology, that's fine with me. Just don't say I'm trying to capitalize on it, because the reason I want to be a social worker or a counselor.
And btw, we wouldn't know a lot about human sexuality without the study of animal mating habits and all that jazz. It's pretty interesting.
